Baton Charges

Once again a fantastically organised crowd segregation not. several police charges throughout the 1st half and at the end of the game. Several fans came in contact with batons and the outcome was obvious....lots of claret.

Held back after the game for about 45mins, players kept coming out to keep us entertained

Can anyone tell me why they didn't have a no go area between the 2 fans which was very easy to organise!

This could be a long debate...

Because segregation isn?t necessary due to low numbers of away fans here... now the Spanish story is: "If they all had seats why did the Bolton fans have to move the atleti season ticket holders from in fornt of them..."

Baton charges... yes... But I don?t think you got shot with the rubber bullets post match... we did... It was all due to the police being very heavy handed with the ultras before the game "apparently" the police did over a group of ultras in the toilets before the game... Hence the protest from the ultras by leaving the center of the stand... complicated and lets be honest... no one comes out with any credit!

Enjoy the competition and the very best of luck!

Rubber bullets - very nice!

Whilst we had the enjoyable 45 minute lock-in, we heard that fire bombs were being thrown?

The policing was a joke, total indiscriminate assults on innocent fans. The charge of police horses into the turnstile queue was the most scary moment I have ever experienced at a football match.

i have just checked my camera now and have 1 picture of outside the groung ten mins before kick off. A policed man quickly in no uncertain terms grabbed it and moved me away going off his head at me. It was only after the match that we were told about the police horses and what happend.

A good night for our club has been shambolicly ruined by these idiots who are there to protect you. The injuries sustained especially to the children nearly had me it tears when i seen my own kids this morning

I was in that queue when the police horse charged, fookin mentalists those police

Just got back, I was lucky enough to be in the section of away fans opposite the troubles.

I was amazed that this section had no police, and no segregation.

The police were itching for a fight from early afternoon as they often are in Spain and Italy.

Bastards.

100% CORRECT.I left the square at approx 5pm before the match to get changed and the police were starting to get a bit twitchy then

Disgracefull Bastards

They were up for it about 2pm outside the 2 Irish Bars

Pathetic really, all the Bolton fans were doing was drinking in a side street

When the plod gets the batons out 7 hours before the game, I thought it was a sign of things to come...

Spanish Police were fcuking cowards - looks worse on TV now when sober

With a operation like that there is no accountability, not one of them had a number on that would indentify them. They can be the bully boys - pull the viser down, draw the baton, smash a few heads.....and no one will touch them

This has really made me angry. The spick pigs are a ragging disgrace and they should be accountable for their actions. If I was Gartside I would not less this drop until heads roll. Spurs fans got the same treatment in Seville. Man U fans in Rome. What is it about these foreign police dick heads? They are supposed to uphold law and order but instead provoke reactions from ordinary, decent fans. Scum they are!

The most ridiculous aspect of the whole thing was the fact that the stadium was half empty. All they needed to do was shift the home fans further over and put the riot squad up from the start the way they did in Belgrade. But no - that way they wouldnt get the cheap thrill of cracking yeds.

Unprofessional cowards (or maybe professional cowards  ), that's all they are.

Letters of protest will follow, to no avail I'm sure.

Gartside had disappeared from the Dir's box 10 minutes before the end of the game, so I doubt he saw the trouble 1st hand.

Can?t see anything happening myself.

I mean the silence from UEFA is deafening. They can?t even be bothered with the old tried and trusted 'we will wait for the report from out representative that was at the match' <_<

in uefa,s eyes its just gonna be a case another english team causing trouble you can see it now

I'm sure I'll end up repeating myself in other threads but my opinion FWIW...

This a supposed big club, yet can't handle a large group of fans getting into a stadium. As it got closer to kick off people got aggitated outside the ground and it got a bit crushed. The Police's response was to wade in with a horse and baton, hitting everything in site. I squeezed away with my Dad and managed to get in. This set off the bad atmosphere for me, and when we got inside the ground it continued, with shite segregation, and objects being exchange by both sets of supporters. I got split up from my dad and moved to the overflow section. When looking for help in finding my dad, the help I got was some facsist fcuk trying to push me down the stairs.

All the police were after was some good action. Disgraceful. My brother approached one to ask how long we would be kept in for, and got hit three times. Scum. Thugs in fcuking unifroms those bastards were.

May be he was trying to get off the carpark early :pardon:

Probably getting ready for the applause milking he readily accepted soon after the final wistle

shitbags the lot of them, bloke near me took a 3 and 5 year old to the 1st match ever - HORRENDOUS SCENES TO FOLLOW

almost make our stewards look better. almost.

At least they let everyone stand, unlike the utter tw?thooks behind us.

almost make our stewards look better. almost.

Two of the older members of our party (who got in the ground very early) said that some of our stewards were in attendance at the game to assist Bolton fans and - get ready for this - to offer a friendly face!!!!!!

shit out when it mattered.

could have prevented things if better organised.

There's some videos of Madrid police brutality on youtube - absolute bastard cowards.

Lisbon police probably won't be better either - they've got prevoius form for attacking visiting fans.

I was in the queue that was charged by the Police on foot and horseback. I'm not ashamed to admit it was ragging scary although I soon got my wits about me when one of them gave me a glancing blow on the back of the head and a right whack on my shoulder. I still think I got off very lightly having seen the state of a lot of Bolton Supporters after the game.

The Return of the Media Whore.

Wasn't there also an altercation between his "friends and family"(ie Fat Craig) and Bolton fans?
