A few things of interest in todays papers for BWFC fans:

 

According to The People Cardiff boss David Jones is hoping to sign Bolton striker Heidar Helguson on loan

 

Also in The People Jermaine Pennant has been told he can leave Liverpool and Blackburn are ready to bid ?3m for the winger - I think for 3m he would be a very good signing for Bolton as we need and out and out winger. He has got some good skill and pace and can whip in a very good cross.

 

Sunderland have made an approach for Tottenham's ?4m-rated midfielder Steed Malbranque - also would be a very good signing. He is versatile and can play anywhere across the midfield, links up with the strikers well and scores a fair few goals

 

Watford defender Danny Shittu is close to completing a ?1.5m move to Rangers - for ?1.5m would be a very good signing and a great back up to Cahill and O'B. Megson has wanted a big strong defender and would be a good (and cheaper) replacement for Meite if he ever left. Also scored 9 goals as well from a CB position last season so is very good at set pieces!

Nope, just paraphrasing the BBC gossip column. Although i thought i might pick out the intesting ones to save trauling through it as there was quite a lot. And i don't do it every day. In fact i don't think i've done it for Months its just that today happened to have a few interesting players and fees being mentioned that might be worth discussion

According to the Daily Mail Hull are still in negotiations to sign Meite. We want ?3m whic Hull so far aren't willing to pay but it is hoped further negotiations will make the transfer possible

Jonathan, I stuck up for you the other day on a different post and Bolty replied with a nice comment, also in a way, asking others to give you a break and that receiving a bit of stick is part and parcel of this board. He's only 27, he costs only ?1.5m, would be good experienced back up for Cahill and O'B, is a Nigerian international (he played in this years ANC for Nigeria) and he seems to be good at set pieces and scores a fair few goals (sort of like Jaidi but hopefully better)
