Just noticing in the team line ups for today in what is defiantely a second string team Vaz Te didn't even make the starting line up as Obadeyi and Woolfe were ahead of him with Riga in attack. Only came on during the game. Its a shame as 2 years ago he had a good end of season scoring goals and last summer had a great pre-season. I hope its is more of a fitness/recovery situation he is in after his injury last season. Or maybe it says something about how good Obadeyi + Woolfe are?

I have backed vaz te for yeas, the time has now come to say he has not got what it takes, you can add Riga/Cohen, to that list both were truly woeful today.

1st game for the club having not played a game since May and Riga is suddenly awful? I didn't see the game if I'm honest so I can't comment on how he played but surely you've got to give the lad more than one game.

Riga really was awful. Fair play he didn't have match fitness. But he also lacked flair, drive and decent positioning. Who was No. 9 tpday?

Obadeyi was number no 9. Riga didn't do much but his goal was superb.

I'll never forgive him for THAT miss at Blackburn where he made Friedel look stupid and then missed the ball when in front of a gaping net. I realised then that he didn't have the bottle to play at this level.

He even got sent home from a loan spell at Hull City!

He needs a season in the Championship to make or break a career in Britain. Probably for some middling club like Sheff Wed or Ipswich who might take a chance. Will offer us nothing this season...if ever.

Regarding the comments about Riga, I have a mate who has emigrated to Spain. He is a Wanderers fan but now has a season ticket at seville. He said and these are his words "Riga is brilliant and the fans will idolise him and soon forget Diouf". Let us wait and see.

I bet Megson will gladly allow him to leave on loan - sad thing is for Vaz Te, it looks like nobody wants him.

In all honesty, I think that Vaz T? has had long enough. If he doesn't manage to get a loan deal for himself for this season, and get some games and goals under his belt for a Championship side, then I would suspect he'll be on the "released" list at the end of the season (providing that's when his contract is up)

 

I am suprised one of the smaller/lower teams in the Portugese top flight haven't tried to get him on loan
