Finished

my long running love affair with bolton wanderers fc is over..

i have never seen a club run with less heart..

less than a dozen made a long expensive trip and what does that ginger tosser and the rest of HIS team do at the end of the game?

only steinsson had the decency to even acknowledge we were even there..

after the open day fiasco this is the final nail..

beers expensive too

Yes i know you are, like all Boton fans you want us to win,

but coming on here calling Megson a c**t for no reason at all

is fcuking wrong,so please refrain from doing so,

as this will not help our cause

Thank you.

if i want to slag him off i will, weather you like it or not , i dont like the guy as a manager , end off !!

thank you :D

thank you :D

Right, i may be wrong about Megson and he may take us down

i know last season he upset a few fans and was wrong

in some of the things he did ie Lisbon, that was shocking the team he put out

but imo i think it is now time to put all that behind us

and all get behind him and team and lets all give

them at chance at least.

thank you :D

Too right, you have the right, but get your spelling sorted!

Our players don't find 12 fans in a stadium after a pre season friendly and suddenley people start to slate Megson again. FFS get over the Megson thing, like somebody has already said, he has done nothing wrong, he kept us up, he has made some decent signings and I for one am looking forward to next saturday. Stop looking for any reason (even when there isn't one) to slate OUR manager.

Megson is shit...it's a fact...stats don't lie

this season will prove it...

all the plums that have suddenly changed their opinion of himover the last couple of months...

This plum hasn't either.

jurys still out as far as im concerned

Like it or lump it Gary Megson is our manager and i will support him just like i did when he kept us up last season. People are too negative sometimes, as a kid it was my dream to see Bolton in the top league and now were there in not gonna spend my time being negative, it dont help the team!

Damn good shout that man :good:

A number of the players acknowledged the Bolton fans after the Aris game. Also the players who had been subbed also gave us a clap on their way to and from the dressing room. Jaskelainen gave me a wave from the coach after the match. The thing was we were all inone place at Aris. At AEK we were spread round the ground and that combined with the distance between the pitch and the crowd would have made it difficult for the team to know where we were. Mind you the flags would have been a good clue.

I am struggling to understand:

1.) Why the players not coming over to clap the fans = Megson out?

2.) Why you would stop going because only one or two players managed to locate some of around 10 BWFC fans in a huge Greek olympic stadium with 10-15K Greeks in there?

Do you want your arse wiping for you?

i thought ashey was there for that!

Me too.

Looks like GM has built (is building) a solid squad, but will that be enough for the Prem. If bare survival is success, he could well be successful.

But then each fan probably has a different point of view.

Just because the players didnt clap the fans its Megsins fault? Get ragging real. The players should come over and clap us without having to be told.

I think its the way things are now, i remember waiting at the players entrance at Burnden in the seventies and talking to the players as they arrived, they just came across as ordinary guys who happened to play football, even God (Worthington) was approachable, but these days most players seem to take themselves far to serious even the ordinary ones.

Wont stop me watching my team though, beats walking round the shops with the missus

We had the clapping/acknowledgement argument 2 years back.

I'm not that bothered if they come over or not. They're just a bunch of mercenaries picking up a wage from their employer.

We are just the goobers who travel to see them. They owe us nothing. We owe them nothing.

Of course it would be nice to bond with the players and be acknowledged - ala Boro away last season - and why this hasn't continued is a bit baffling - but its not the end of the world.

Unfortunately Megson is our manager. That is a fact that we cannot change.

I'd sooner get behind the manager and team and will do so. Whether I think he's the right man for the job, is irrelevant.

The fact some like him, some don't makes for good debate.

Big Sam could have won us the league and Champs League and there'd be folk on here calling for his head to roll!

=D> =D>

would the players have even known their were twelve bwfc fans in that vast arena - by all accounts not all 12 were even together

The 9 BWFC flags might have been a clue.

Not Megson's fault IMO.

The players themselves chose not to acknowledge the travelling support, justy as they chose not to come and see the kids on the Family No-Fun Day.

Multi millionaires needing reality checks IMO.

There is the problem really.

Years ago, people would say "without the fans, the club is nothing" and it was true, now, if you look at gate revenue compared to TV money, the fans/supporters are quite insignificant.

Sadly, if nobody ever walked throughthe turnstiles at The Reebok ever again, the club would still keep going, as long as the SKY money paid the players wages, as they do at present

i thought ashey was there for that!

Bastard

Vast arena bollocks, it wasn't the Coloseum or awt. 3 big flags behind the net and 10 bolton there too. If Jussi and Steinsson could see us and clap us, why couldnt the rest? Steinsson made a point of it at the end, clapping us for what seemed like about 30 seconds albeit from the halfway line. Other players just walked straight past him not even bothered to see who or why he was clapping!

Hats off to Steinsson though, bollocks to the rest
