Bolton 0 Stoke 1

Bolton have a lot of the ball and fail to take advantage of their possession. Stoke?s keeper does not have many saves to make.

Stoke score in the second half from a set piece.

Attendance 21,296

Including 3000 stoke fans and 15000 kids

Or... 1-0 Bolton and cue "Megson out", "boring", "I'm never going again", "We'll never get in the Champions League playing that kind of football"

Aye that's the one :yahoo:

Similar to that home game against Watford a couple of seasons back

i can see this game turning out to be a bit like the 1-0 win we had against Derby earlier this year. They were the better side and created more chances but i think the extra quality that Bolton have over Stoke will shine through, altho we will leave it late. Bolton to win 1-0 with a late goal from someone like Davies, Taylor or Nolan. Elmander will be play but get subbed in the 2nd half. Stoke will perform manfully and feel like they've nothing to loose whereas Bolton will be nervous + cagedy + not want to loose. But Stoke just won't have the cutting edge.

When I look at our 11 against they're 11 there aren't really any of their players i'd have

Bolton:

Jussi

Steinsson, Cahill, AOB, Samuel

Riga, Nolan, Muamba, Taylor

Elmander, Davies

Stoke:

Sorensen,

Wilkinson, Cort, Shawcross, Griffin

Delap, Olifinjana, Whelan

Cresswell, Kitson, Sidibe

I'd like to have Kitson in our team but apart from that - no-one

I would imagine that Riga will be on the bench for this first game. I am impressed though that you know enough about Stoke to be able to name their starting eleven, I wouldn't have been able to tell you 4 Stoke players, let alone name an entire teams worth of them

1-0. In a shocking game of football, both sides show no semblence of quality whatsoever. Elmander looks unfit and is shite. And all looks lost until Big Dan Shittu pops up from a corner in injury time.
