Yeh, a full coach will be heading to Eastwood from " The Waterside" at 11 bells, after a few pints in the "Spoons" and a few cars are heading down, i just hope a kennel will be available for our dog.

I know the Chairmen quite well, im quite gutted for him actually, hes got big plans for the club I hope he gets over this setback after pumping a lot of his own cash into the club.

It was H/T at Southport, all the Leythers were in the bar, i took that snap on the way out.

Leigh Genesis do not have a lease as such at Hilton Park, but have an agreement as part of the Rugby club?s lease, that the rugby club will enable the football club to play its fixtures there. As part of that the rugby club are obliged to maintain the facilities in a condition such that the football club are able to play there.

 

 

Over the summer the rugby club have used the pitch for matches, training and community activities to such an extent that the pitch is now in a dire condition. Yesterday representatives from the league inspected the pitch and deemed it unusable.

Why? Im Leigh born, not really a rugby fan, but why should Leigh RL be first match? its a "shared" ground owned by WMBC. Also BIG rumores that Wiggin RL will be in there too soon.

Fair comment, but the ground is not owned bt LRLFC or Leigh Genesis. WMBC call the shots. Seems a bit petty to drop the footy team in the sh1t like they have. FACT that Leigh RMi helped Leigh rugby out of the shit a few ago and the rugby club should perhaps show their thanks a little better. JSL
