I have plenty of experience of FV, i was in the Alma INN when it was attacked by Shef UTD fans, i was also at the Swansea away league game when loads of Bolton fans were attacked, the game at Burnden Park when ManUTD fans broke open a bottle bank on the car park of what is now/was Equipp (opp Halfords) and running bottle fights broke out, etc, etc, need i go on?

 

Infact i went to virtually every home and away game, from 1982 until 2006 when my Dad died, so yeah, i have seen/been involved in Football violence for many years.

Gay? I thought he was called twice nightly Whiteley as he was a bit of a sex God with the ladies. Can't say he was my type though.

the alma incident i believe sheff u had been at blackburn in the cup...

 

we had been playing some no mark team at home...

 

i remember issac off here certainly being in there along with a few older bods...a mate of mine had just been to the supper bar for some chips and commented as he returned that there was a right old mob on the way down...a certain poster on here then put a ashtray straight through the window into the first bods face that appeared at the window....

 

the whole of both front windows including the frames had disappeared and the whole contents of the pub were outside....the alarm was shrieking as the bar staff cowered under the bar...

 

we ventured out of the pub for a short while untill 100 of them charged back down bradshawgate...

 

mate of mine had his arm broken that evening...and before you knewit , it was over as quickly as it had begun...

I dont remember who we or UTD had played that day, all i know is that is was a revenge attack for something that had occured the previous season.

 

I quite enjoyed it, chucking pool balls though the window next to the bar, hitting some git, who tried to get in through the back door/fire escape, with a cue, hiding behind a marble topped bar table - then helping to launch it though the other window, all in self defense, you understand.

PS, i was one of the bar staff that night, but i wasn't hid behind the bar.

I think it was a bit of payback from the year before when it went off on London Road (the globe I think it was called). Was only yoof back then and trips like that were a right eyeopener.

It wasn't an over the top reaction, if that's what you are thinking. It was just merely I'm not overkeen on folk making snap judgements about folk. Meathead imho is quite an offensive tag.

Indeed. If one must categorise folk, to be a classed as a Notright is a thoroughly pleasant tag, and one to be proud of imho!

I don't think that your reaction was over the top, and you have every right to question my use of the word, however, as i have come across many hooligans in my time as a BWFC supporter, and even socialised with some of them, i will exercise my right to use that description for them.

 

While i can see why you may find the term as offensive, do you not think that, in general, hooligans are themselves offensive? If so, then the term fits.
