?But I was much happier having a glass of wine with the opposing manager and him going to his press conference and criticising the way we played than I was sat in there and being told how nice it was we tried to play the right way but we had just got beat 3-1.?

And that what it was like before he came

He's had his moment in the sun and he'll never be as successful again in the rest of his career.

good interview though.

i think he'll be back and do a decent job, agreed he's had his finest hour.

personally, wish him nowt but good luck

You'll be saying Megson is better than him next. Just thank him for creating a uefa qualifying team . Amnaesia.

Will I?

My statement bears no resemblance to what you're intimating.

However, you're a better man than I am if you know what I'm thinking, because even I don't know that half of the time.

Mind you, Meggo's record at Boro with us is Played 2 Won 2.

Allardyce never won there.

In fact, Sluffy's around: he'll tell you that before last season, we hadn't won there since our 4-1 win in 1996.

i wonder how long it will be till sam writes a book about his bolton success?

i agree that his time has now gone, he wont get that big job now, as i his abilty is now questionable. plus the long ball stigma will continue to follow him.

i reckon the best he could hope for is possibly doing to charlton what he did to us...

Next Blackburn Boss

long ball stigma....nothing inthe artical on the bung scandle and his sons involvement.

fact. phil brown made our team whilst fsa pissed it up with his mates & coined it in. :drinks:

Imbeciles come in many shapes and sizes. One is called James Phillips.

Traf will be saying next that he agreed with everything Sam says in that article and that he was one of the few who had faith in BSA when he took Deane Holdsworth off in the play-off semis against WBA.

He'll also question the opening day score against Leicester. He'll ask if it was really 2-5.

I really enjoy these games of What Traf said next. Shall we make it a thread on its own? ;)

I reckon a club like Derby, Forest, or Leeds or Brum would be more than grateful for the SA effect.

You couldn't be further from the truth, unless you changed your name to mart32!

(mind you, he did tell us all to lump on Bristol City to go up!)

But what about a thread, based on the exploits of Mart32, called "What Traf thought next!" It'd run and run.

I think that folk would soon tire of trying to second guess my vacant mind.

Is Forest the big return to football that BSA wants?

Sam's the man for Forest

Sam's the man for Forest

In a nutshell, yes. Take a small time club and change their fortunes around. If he went and got them in the Prem within a couple of seasons he's be back in the big time.

Not sure the Notts County boys would be happy though!

Leeds would have been a better prospect, but forest have been a basket case for nearly 10 years now, no money to spend though.

Taking the Forest job is a major gamble IMO.

It's likely to end his career as a top flight manager, if he fails there, which many have.

Unlike Megson who failed there. He's doing a splendid job at Bolton.

thought they hated him anyway for the way he left to come to us?
