Allardyce

Just seen this in the paper

Allardyce, 54, who was interviewed by Niall Quinn, the Sunderland chairman, before Keane?s appointment in August 2006,

Now wasn't the fat lad still our manager at that point?

Yes he was, and they were a division lower, lurking at the bottom of the Championship, so I doubt he was interviewd.........probably media bollox as usual

think he was linked but wasn't interested

he was on the back of one of the rags this morning basically saying he wants it

If he wants the job, he'll get it I reckon

Think he wants owt at the moment. Daft lad.

funny thing is

one of the reasons why he left us was because he wanted to manage with some money behind him

he got it at newcastle but nothing like what he was hoping for due to the takeover (so he claims)

and now at sunlund, they'll probably tell him roy spent all the money and he has to make do, because he showed at bolton he was good at making do

he showed at bolton he was good at making do

he'll be "tarred" with that brush for the rest of his career now. Lets face it, he isn't going to get a job with any of the top 4 (or Villa or City) therefore he'll never have a great deal to spend

Does he have a set template to issue statements with now?

I am very in interested in becoming manager of __________. __________ are a great club and I want to take them to the next level, it'd be a great challenge but with time I'm sure I can get them where we both want to be.

And just incase...

I'd like to remove myself from the running, the timing just isn't right for me to be at ______________.

The grass is not always greener my friend <_<

I, for one, hope he gets it if that's what he wants it and beleive he could do a good job there - could make FA Cup 3rd round interesting. I've got a lot of time for BSA and am grateful for what he did for us. Yes, the manner of his departure was not ideal (although I don't think this was ALL down to him) and he has shotcomings but these are far outweighed by his talents IMHO. Before the usual posts I'll ask "What did the Romans ever do for us?"

Splitter.

the oirish mafia at sunland , will appoint o" leary

Oh I do hope so, he will take them down

Where's that Mackem Photoshop Fat Sam thread gone?

How ironic that this appears on the Mackem site.

Don't know why you have such a problem with a guy who transformed us and got us into Europe twice. Did you ever go to Burnden or are you one of those ungrateful JCL's. =@

What has that got to do with anything? - Now I did go to Burnden, and for many years, but I also know supporters who are around 17~20 years old, they may never have been to Burnden (or maybe once or twice with their Dads) - does that mean they aren't good supporters?

Actually, why am I asking you? - you're a cock

I don't have 'such a problem'. I think it's a shame, and frankly a little embarrasing, that he is the first to shout for every job (Blackburn/Pompy/West Ham/Sunlun) with the same speech reeled out about great club/he can take them to the next level/etc. The same way he bleated for the England job and thereafter didn't give a f*ck about BWFC or it's fans.

Yes I did go to Burnden you cockjugglingthundercunt, I'm just not naive enough to think Allardyce was a saint and the only reason we got where we are. He was a part (a large part yes) of a very efficient machine from Chairman downwards.

Thanks for that. I was making the point that anyone who suffered some of the dross that was served up down the years at Burnden, might be show a little more respect to Big Sam after what he did. Can't get my head round this Allardyce bashing. So what if he touts himself as the next saviour for whoever. Did crap at Bolton didn't he

I don't think anybody is saying that are they?

Not thinking the sun shines out of his arse is not 'hating/bashing/etc'. He did a very good job. He also acted like a prick over the England job and how he left. He also thinks he's alot better than he is. As a big fish in a tiny pond at Bolton he was superb and in his element -- he will never ever get that level of control again (unless he takes over at a small lower-level championship club), and therefore will never likely have the same successes again. That isn't hating the man. It's called having a balanced opinion.

He did well out of us, we did well out of him.
