Featured Replies

what will be the overall mood of the travelling fans be?

i will go with the majority

i will do the odd chant but generally don't fancy looking a bitter tw?t as we will inevitably lose and them lot will love it

I'm not going. I do hope you all ignore him. Worst punishment that for someone up their own arse imho.

part timer...

he's just another opposition manager in my eyes

People have short memories for what he did for the club.

He's moved on,we've moved on time to get behind the whites =D>

I will be applauding. I think everyone should.

We cant forget what he has done for our club and what we achieved over the years when he was manager.

i won't but the man sold us down the river when he left and took all the workings of the club with him, from which we're only just recovering from.

also i can't forgive him for Gerald cid

Not afraid to swim against the tide on this one. Bunch of fcuking ingrates. Things which would not have happened without Sam Allardyce:-

Sustained premier league level football

Istanbul

Guimaraes

Marseille

Skopje

Madrid

Belgrade

Lisbon

etc.

If I was there, I would stand up and applaud the man. A true Bolton legend.

When I met him when he was our manager I thought he was a c?nt, so he'll be gettin the Full Fenny Fury aimed at him. =@

I wont be abusing him and certainly wont be applauding him. As already said the best approach is to do nothing - treat him as you would any other manager

'im going to take 5/6 months off from football and have a long holiday with the family'

6 days later he ends up at toon.

' i would be interested in working at Blackburn, iv been away for 8 months or so. It's time for me to get back into the game'

As it later becomes apparent that Ince is the favouriite to land the job .... ' i was never interested in the Blackburn job and was never in the race to get the job'

'i love sunderland FC i know the set up very well. They are a very strong team. I would love to work here'

A week later, he's at Dingleville off all places.

In short he loves to spout his ego about.

Didn't he also say he pulled out the race for the Blackburn job(the 1st time) because of his strong connection with Bolton?

Stoke all the staff after going back on a gentlemans agreement with Gartside.

Then tried to nick all our players.

People have even shorter memories over how he fucked us over

Aye, just before the Sunderland game?, a must win to avoid relegation last season he came out with a tirade against the club. Saying how he ' laid the foundations for years to come and now someone has messed it all up. I left them in a solid stable positioned that i had built for over 8 years." The eve before arguably the biggest game off the season he criticised the club, manager and players in the national media. Notw hat you want to hear from an ex manager.

Just remember how he took all the best coaches with him (in effect ripped the heart out of the club and left us in greater difficulties) and made attempts to take some players from the club to Newcastle.

With the greatest respect. you did not have to have regular contact with him, you don't have to watch him on the tv (if you have SSN it's hard to turn over so often). So you raise a glass to him from your outpost.

Nobodies saying we didn't do well under him. It's just there's a fair few who find him a complete tosser.

Allardyce was and still is just out for himself like a lot of others. He did a lot for Bolton Wanderers but he and Bolton have now moved on. He should be treated just like any other manager. Ignore him and shout for Bolton. If anybody does have issues with him then the best way is to cheer your team on to beat his.

I think people are assuming loyalty is still a part of football.

He's free to do as he chooses, because he can.

I'm grateful for the good times personally.

Owd on S - out of order. I was only listening to him again a couple of weeks back on Setantas Football Matters.

Nothing will sway me on this one. You are all acting like bitter, jilted lovers instead of coldly analysing facts. Best thing that happened to BWFC since 1958. Some of us will never forget and those that choose to remember the inevitable shiyte bits are entitled to do so. Won't change my opinion. I would applaud the man.

I agree with everything bolty says

except applauding him

he got my support when he was here and in the short time after he left when the majority wanted his public hanging and i still have him down as best thing to happen to us

but he's manager of bastud rovers now

there's nothing there to cheer

Fair point Zico. He is now the manager of our second most hated rivals. Let's just roll back time a few weeks and I would have applauded him when he was a football pundit then. Those 'antis' on here would have jeered him back then.

He did sell u sshort but I dont blame him for wanting to try it at a bigger club (Newcastle) obviously something went on behind the scenes with Gartside. He is still and allways be a legend in my eyes.

Yeah Gerald Cid was poor

Balanced response - we beat 'em and when the whistle blows we sing 'Big Sam, Big Sam, give us a wave' just for old times sake. I know he'd appreciate it.
