Cloverfield

I've just sat and watched it.

I am going to church in the morning to ask God for those 80 minutes back. If they are not granted, I hereby pledge to hunt down the maker of the movie and drip boiling sperm in his eyes.

I think we should use this thread for film reviews.

Valkyrie - shit. Tom Cruise plays German officer type who wants to kill Hitler, it's like a Nazi Roadrunner with Hitler going "meep meep" each time the Ache Exploding whatever fails to kill him yet again.

I don't watch many films as I don't get chance - pornhub takes some getting through.

This means that when I do watch a film it's doubly annoying if it's complete pigswill.

Therefore I would appreciate some sound advice about decent movies.

The last one I really enjoyed had a big orang-utan in it punching goths.

Can recommend Gran Torino then.

Getting 'Clubbed' today and, if nowt else, looking forward to the soundtrack which I hear is brilliant.

Just to clarify for anyone who hasn't seen it - they all die.

Talking of films there is a good one on tomorrow ch 5 2pm," Walkabout" set in the Australian outback, although with it being on in the afternoon they will probably cut out the bit were jenny Agutter gets her puppies out. worth sky+ing though.

best film seen in a while is The Bank Job, throughly recommend it

http://www.apple.com/trailers/lions_gate/thebankjob

also recently watched:

The Incredible Hulk - no brainer action movie, better than first one, but nothing special

The Eye - shite, original much better

Kenny - Australian film about a bloke in the portable toilet industry, not bad, think aussie version of that peter kay thing

Is Bolty in Kenny?

Cloverfield was a top film the whole advertising campaign for a year leading up to it was superb too, there was more to cloverfield than just the film.

aye, and once you start to find out about the other stuff you start to notice things in the film you may not have otherwise picked up on

like the monster falling into the sea before it all begins, being caught on the video they film on their day out at brighton beach

pretty cool how it all comes together

but can see why it's not everyone's cup of tea

exactly, once you know the clues then then the film becomes mich more even now theres stuff out about the sequel.

Heres a link to a site that re;eased clues to the plot before hand, you can turn the photos over too. some photos were added after in case you wanted to know what happened after the film finished, all the characters in the film had myspace pages etc etc, reet im stopping now cos im making myself look like a film geek!
