The gigs would have to be simply EPIC to be good value and I fear they would be a bit w???k. Also, I AM a grown up and maybe, as posted by the judge, some things are just best left. I'd have thought that about the Sex Pistols - but find anyone who saw them at the MEN the other year who didn't have a cracking night out. It was a trip down memory lane and a feckin' good one at that. You just know when the dry ice lifts and those four are on stage and you can hear the open bars of Mani's bass-line to Adored slowly creeping up on you - your hair will stand on the back of your neck and you'll think - "f?ckin' yessssss!!!!"

Proper lads, like the one Ian Brown tries so hard to play, where too busy E munching and breaking into warehouses to hold illegal rave parties. In fact, the whole Madchester thing was very overrated.

The Madchester thing was a load of bollox - but the Stone Roses were about way before all that. And its got FOOK ALL to do with being cool, it was all about the tunes. Personally I hope they don't reform, would sully the memory a bit and I'll tell our Ian that next time I bump into him in Sainsburys.

As for me, was into them from the off but never bought a Joe Bloggs top, pair of flares or the dafty little Reni hat. As I said it was about the music for me, not the rest of the shyte that followed them. In fact I was a bit gutted when they got popular because up until then it was like they were my little secret.

At that time The Smiths were the dance floor filler. About a week later, and I'm not exagerating, Student Ritzy was packed out and about a third of the place were wearing Roses t-shirts. They exploded. Went to Blackpool, it was a bit wank. No support and a DJ playing shit. The place was fcuking sweltering. Ticket was ?5.50 from X Record, bet it's slightly more if they ever play again.
