Traf Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Think you'll find Hodgson joined Fulham quite a bit after we got Megson. Not sure how our ?30 million outlay in past 12 months compares to Everton,s. Saha ?2m Pienaar ?2m Fellaini ?16m plus whatever Jo's loan fee is.
Guest Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I just happen to think the players are better than the manager. I might be old fashioned but I would have liked a cup run- losing at home to Northampton and away at Sunderland shortly after we won there was poor. Not picking up a single point against any top 7 team is poor and we are nearly in April. We seem to be beaten before we kick off. Shittu and Smolarek should be given chances before Andy O Brien and big Mak. Nothing personal, I dont know the fella but all I can ever see with him there is a regular relegation battle which will eventually fail. Having been Prem regulars for many years, we should be looking at Everton's example. They dont spend a bomb but well managed. Look at Fulham- below us last season. Am I being unreasonable than to expect more than a relegation battle and early cup exits? I wonder if you've got caught up in the whole anti-Megson thing. Anyway, back to the question,; "what would have represented progress", from your perspective?
Ani Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Think you'll find Hodgson joined Fulham quite a bit after we got Megson. Not sure how our ?30 million outlay in past 12 months compares to Everton,s. we sold anelka for ?15m. so we have spent ?15m. everton spent ?15m on the hairbearbunch bloke.
Russell Sprout Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Not sure Ive seen myself as Anti Megson, OK if you want to think that way. Sure we'll all be here long after he's gone.
bolty58 Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I think we all know Megson,s a gonner at the end of the season, wherever we finish. Gartside wont put up with another season like this. Read all through this thread and keep coming back to this post. I assume 'gonner' was meant to read 'goner' and not 'gooner'? Don't think he'll be replacing Wenger. Now then, if he's a goner at the end of this season, why would you think Gartside did something about his contract recently?

Russell Sprout Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 What a sad, miserable bunch of dickheads some of you are on here. Gonner, goner- I think we all understand what I was saying. Others who probably never go near the Rebok just want to play clever with words, correct grammar and spelling. Get a life !!!! Thanks for the welcome anyway.

Russell Sprout Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Having taken the time to read through many previous posts, it's ironic how many of you call for fans to all unite and be supportive, but as soon as a spelly or bit of punctuation goes wrong, you just cant wait to have a go. Are you sure you allow as much latitude to the team as you say? I think I prefer the fans near me to be a little more honest. Sometimes we do get frustrated, sometimes we do tut and sigh, but some of you lot must have been sent straight from Heaven. By the way, thanks for the 20 thing. 58 this Summer, but thankfully still 26 in spirit.
no balls Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I think I prefer the fans near me to be a little more honest. . There's a difference between honest and plain unpleansant and I have heard some fans being exactly that. BTW, do you know Biff then, he's our resident owd un and if he finds out you've been peeing on his patch he might get a bit narked?

One spelling correction and he's steaming. Please let him stay.
juewanderer Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Russel Sprout is an alias IMO. Yeah i think he is as well, sent on here on a mission from Rivals.
bolty58 Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 'Rebok' gives it away. I believe it is Cassie. Been told he's always dropping 'e's.
Traf Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Russel Sprout is an alias IMO. Actually, he/she/it are not who/what I originally thought they were. They might be a genuine new poster.
YATESY Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Russel Sprout is an alias IMO. RS you missed a rare opening from Traf there, I'll reply for you Russel Sprout maybe but I am Russell Sprout. See it's that easy to join in the fun. Welcome!!

Russell Sprout Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Cheers Yatesy, thanks for the welcome. I think there is a little bit more to life than constant highlighting of typos/spellings. That Traf is bright though. Only 32000 plus postings, mainly correcting grammar, and he recognises that Russell Sprout could be an alias. Perhaps if he got out more and spent less time in his bedroom chained to a laptop he might actually realise that real people arent called bolty58 or Alien. . These are the same people who jump all over grammatical errors but allegedly sit quietly while McCann passes another ball away, or Andy OB misses another tackle to concede a goal. Doesn't ring true somehow . What is a bit weird on here is the need to blame fans for just about everything that goes wrong at the club. Even Megson and the players admit they have played badly on many occasions. Someone quite hilariously was blaming fans for Matty Taylor not converting a late winner on Saturday.

Someone quite hilariously was blaming fans for Matty Taylor not converting a late winner on Saturday. there's a difference between letting out a groan of dissaproval and just getting on the players back. if you look throught the threads many on here agree that AOB isn't good enough and has been to blame for many goals we've conceeded this year. Discecting a bad performance is more than welcome on here how ever just saying 'we're shite, mugson is a wanker etc' isn't
YATESY Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 That Traf is bright though. Only 32000 plus postings, mainly correcting grammar, and he recognises that Russell Sprout could be an alias. The original thought was that you are an established poster opening a new account to have some fun under a different alias - it has been known. By the way, do you know Natasha? Regards bolty58 - he got dispatched to Australia on one of the last prisoner boats. Needing to start a fresh down under, it was recommened that all survivors of the trip thought of a new name. Not being the brightest, he struggled to come up with an alternative and so, looking at the replica sports top he was wearing - came up with "bolty58". So just be careful, as some on here actually use their real names!
Carlos Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Russell, have you come on here purely to have a go at people? If so, it will be a short stay. JAL.
Russell Sprout Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Carlos, think you will find I have not had a go at anyone. I live in Birmingham now but still hold season ticket and attend many away games. So far after one day I have had my spellings and grammar picked on, accused of being an imposter, asked if I know someone called Natasha. Is this some kind of paranoid secret society I have stumbled on? My fault for googling a wanderers fans forum and finding this.
