April 14, 200917 yr old skool thread time LHBWFC hang your head in shame Clown take a bow though! Ronaldo, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard are the only midfielders who have scored more than Matty Taylor this season. From F365's stattos article and yet the lad still can't get in the england side ahead of Stewart Downing!!!

April 14, 200917 yr Looking at the dates, Taylor wasnt playing well about that time are you that stupid intentionally? he wasn't playing well at the time, so we drop him/sell him (a bit like the situation seem to think were in with Elmander now) he then doesn't do what he has done thi sseason?

April 14, 200917 yr It was obvious that Taylor would come good, regarding Elmander we need to use him differently he cannot lead the line like Kevin Davies, but I am confident once we strengthen our midfield we can play Davies as target man with Elmander close to him picking up the knock downs and loose balls, he will then create and score on a regular basis. April 14, 200917 yr I'm not too worried that Elmander isn't scoring. There must be some reason that davies is in double figures for the first time in ages. I wonder if it's because Elmander is now doing for SKD what SKD has done for other strikers in the past. i.e. made runs taking defenders with him.

April 14, 200917 yr I think this is about, had Matty Taylor been dropped for having a few bad games at the beginning, we wouldn't have seen what's good in him.

April 14, 200917 yr Class act [ always has been ] the trouble wil be keeping the wolves from the door. They haven't been promoted yet and why would he want to go to a shit club like that anyway My player of the year by far
April 14, 200917 yr Ronaldo, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard are the only midfielders who have scored more than Matty Taylor this season. And let's not forget that that them three have had penalties galore to take as well. He'd be a shoo-in for Player of the Year if Kevin hadn't stuck in 12 already.
April 14, 200917 yr And let's not forget that that them three have had penalties galore to take as well. He'd be a shoo-in for Player of the Year if Kevin hadn't stuck in 12 already. Ronaldo has scored 3 pens in his 15 league goals, but also played chunks of the season as an out and out striker. Gerrard has 4 pens from his 13 goals and has also played in a more advanced role quite often. Lampard has 2 pens in his 12 goals. So, excluding penalties: Ronaldo 12 goals Taylor & Lampard 10 goals each Gerrard 9 goals
April 14, 200917 yr taylor has played a fair bit in a front 3. although most would have you believe he's been playing as a 2nd fullback. Edited April 14, 200917 yr by HomerJay

April 14, 200917 yr When was the last time we had a penalty? Must be ages i cant remember it Newcastle away, Nolan missed. Before that would probably be Wigan home last season, Anelka missed. Don't think we've scored a penalty in the last two years.
