This Fine Evening

Featured Replies

This evening I shall be partaking in some fine Indian food.

So as it's a Friday, what's your favourite from the sub-continent?

I'm not a fan of anything too hot so tend to go for a Saag, Madras or Samber-type affair - got to have either a garlic (& corriander if poss) or keema naan to go with, pilau rice and a few pints of cobra

Chicken Balti, Poppadoms with the onion and chutney, Peshwari Naan, Cobra beer :good:

Spice Valley in H/Wich does a cracking prawn thing, Can't for the life of me remember it's name, but it's beltin with a garlic naan!

They do take outs too! :good:

none of that foreign muck for me, a simple cheese omlette and chips please.

I have to recomend the chefs special Lamb Garlic Bhuna from Little India!

Really Lamby, really Garlicy, Really Bhunary!

If you like that sort of thing.

Warby my friend you have hit the nail square on the heed :good:

Used to be a Garlic Naan man but have really come round to Peshwaris now.

Also used to be a Lamb man but have had a few dodgy ones of late so have switched back to Chicken, usually Rogan Josh.

King Prawn Tikka Jalfrezi with fried rice and a peshwari naan.

and a tub of mint yogurt if the bastards get a little carried away with the chilli.

boofidal!

popps + dips, chicken vindaloo, keema naan, pilau rice, some spuds and a mine sweeping session if anybody is full

I like the lamb dopiaza they do at the Sunar Gaw. Nan bread, vegetable rice and beer. Sorted.

Bengal Balti or Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi from Spice Island on Tongemoor Road, with all the obvious trimmings and a mixed starter.

Pops, mixed starter, king prawn karahi boosted to vindaloo strength, onion rice and garlic nan. (or special Balti hot from Royal Balti House)

Get the wet wipes in the fridge before bedtime though.

Green bengal. Pops and dips, kebab starter for 2(with the misses) lamb rogan josh. Pilah rice, garlic nan, chips. Top notch!

That Chicken Tarka is nice, It's a bit like Chicken Tikka only 'otter.

Vindaloo for me with Bombay potatoes, pilla rice and garlic nan :good:

IVE STARTED (fuckin capslock) to have the lamb Kofta that i see appearing on more and more menus - its like small lamb meatballs in sauce- fookin tremendous!

previously i used to enjoy starters more than the main, so would fill my boots then just have a taste of someone elses curry.

The one that was once the turton heights over bradshaw is very nice!

Shazna is Widnes does a cracking speciallity, Chicken Chilli Masala

But, I'm a fan of Madras upwards

Keema Nan for me

Madras or Vindaloo

anything else and your a homosexual

?10 is the bargain of the year

A definite thumbs up from me

Went to a Maplewood last night, cost ?87 for two of us and was nowhere near as good

Efes, next week for me, hope the sell it

I'm having salad after a very heavy weekend

My dirts today have been monumentally disgraceful

I'm ashamed by the 4th flush.

I'd much rather have Italian food , i used to enjoy the food they did at Francas, nothing in Blackpool is anywhere near as good.

Does anyone know if it's still any good?
