Four Day Week......

Got word that we're losing a day a week at work, 15% salary reduction too <_<

So today I rang in sick, watched Godfather II, watched porn and played GTA4..... good day considering :good:

was this forced, or could you refuse/appeal?

Surely you don't think fully grown men play childrens video games volunterily, clearly AS is being bullied by his house chums

Thats four more than you ever did here !!

The company I work for is looking for volunteers for redundancy as we don't have a compulsory redundancy policy. They are offering a months salary for every year worked up to 12 months max.

I'm tempted but its a case of could I get another job

Get applying first then. Not rocket science to line up another job then seek the redundancy or barter for better terms. Few have done it from another company and moved to mine albeit with forced redundancy by the end.

Tax free...

I got the same deal, had done seven years

Also got seven weeks notice but didn't have to work them, so effectively got nine months salary, seven tax free

Was in a better paid job within a fortnight

Not the norm and I was a lucky so and so but you have to put some feelers out and see what the job market is like, don't just assume...

aye -time for a change scenery :good:

although I'll end up in Manchester again anyway ::lol::

Tax free up to some 30K. I'd jump at that offer with 8 years under my belt.

I took voluntary redundancy when the airline industry went bent after 9/11. Had six years service and got practically knack all compensation. I'd already been accepted for my current job but was awaiting security clearance. Took six pigging months to get the clearance. Spent that time picking up rubbish temping for the local council and was barely able to survive financially.

I'd advise anyone to avoid voluntary redundancy in the current climate. It's always harder to find a suitable job when you really need one.

Depends on your personal circumstances really, I'm on a three month notice period so even on basic redundo I'd get 10K. I wouldn't need to work for a couple of years. 6 months in Portugal and 6 months solid fishing sounds tempting.

Bollocks

If my company offered it me, I'd be off like a shot.

Bolllocks

Well constructed arguement that widders

That code for shagging Bolton slappers then?

Does being a mod on here pay that well? Well, who'd have thought.

We do this for free because we like taking the abuse and it gives a warm glow, bit like doing charity work.

The day of the website making money is getting further and further into history, Rivals has gone, who's next?

And give plenty out - maybe that's the reason behind the warm glow :p
