Better than what we have which is a GOOD thing and all this talk of Meggos signings since he been here apart from shittu (who to be fair i still think is adequate cover for our CB and IMO a better defender than AOB) all have improved our squad.

 

Minor point to the notion that mccann is not a good Megson signing, He didnt sign him. that aside one of our better players last year and as with shittu is decent cover for the 1st team.

 

Can we not just get behind our club lads?

knight would be a good addition to the squad and might....just might be a decent partner for cahill... as for rickets,dont know much about this lad but if you remember the last ricketts we had he turned out alright for a season then his head grew rather large thinking he was a international superstar, we sold him for a tidy profit and he disappeared up his own arse.. so the omans are good. if we get all three signed up by end of the week then thats good work..

Just to throw my two pence worth in, i never really rated Knight at fulham. A mate of mine thats a villa season ticket holder also says his nickname with the fans is Zat Knightmare. not saying he is worse than AOB or Shittu but would prefer him to be a last resort and maybe find a good solid defender from abroad for the same price or at home for a little more i.e turner at hull.

I think Knight will turn out to be a good signing. It also adds to our strength in depth which was lacking last season as previously stated.

From what I remember of your earlier post you called someone stupid for suggesting Faye had played CB for us. Dont try and worm your way out of it now Ernie. I remember him partnering Jaidi quite a few times and commenting on what a good partnership they had going.
