Well it was the season before really Frank. I didn't really rate Matt in the first season we had him. Now I think he is inconsistent but I admit he did prove me wrong last season and become a valuable source of goals.

 

I have a lot of respect for you and your opinions Frank but once again I have to say instead of telling me about other players... watch todays game and particularly once the American comes on. Zat Knight is no better than Danny Shittu and I'm prepared to back my judgement on this one and say he will be a disaster in our defence this season!

but to be writing anyone off at this stage of the season after only playing 2 games for the club is just plain daft.

Oh and I was at Ronaldo's first game for Utd... At the time Bolton were 1 nil down and he came on for last half hour. He was AWESOME. Absolutely tore our defence to shreds and I said at the time... he's the best footballer I've ever seen. It really is that easy to tell how good a player is! Knight is a shocker!

Of all the defensive signings Zat Knight is ok! He did alright again today, with Cahill next to him he will be a good signing! It's ricketts and Robinson we need to worry about!!!

OK maybe ronaldo was a bad choice for comparison but it took him a while before people saw past him being all tricks and flick and no end product.

 

The point was there's plenty of players who were shite in their first few games and hae gone on to be very good players

I blame championship manager or whatever the latest arcade game is called (that's my age showing!) everyone these days is an expert.

Agree with the above, Robinson is a liability, the amount of time he lost posession, got pushed of ball, let players pass him showed he isntgood enough.

I watched it online. Robinson gave the ball away a lot, got caught in possesion a lot, got caught out of position a lot and hes such a short arse he got beat in the air every time. The guy is just plain shit, Samuel is so much better its bonkers dropping him for that tosser.

The reason I am complaining about Knight is that the fella is obviously no footballer. I don't so much mind the full back signings as if they are rubbish we have options.

 

At 4.5 million and with how high profile he is... we bought Zat to play every game as first choice centre half with Cahill. I'm extremely disappointed cos I don't really watch opposition defenders and I hoped he could play at bit! He just hoofs n hads the ball anywhere.

 

I knew how bad Robinson was and I know we have better... JLS, Gardner, Taylor can all play left back!

 

WE have AOB and Shittu to replace Zat Knight so everyone knows he's gonna be first choice. I genuinely upset to find out he's that bad!

 

Just after the goal we got a corner... he came up for it... on his way back he found himself with the ball in midfield... he passed it straight to one of their forwards and they should have scored again. A miss from the American debutant saved us!
