Personally I'd be much happier if we got a decent attacking/creative midfielder. In my opinion, that has been much of the problem as to why Elmander hasn't been scoring (Hull/Sunderland this season aside). We also did already "take a risk" as you put it by shelling out ?8m for Elmander. I reckon there is some money in the pot, but whether we can attract the players or there's enough, the next 4 days or so will tell.

Hes bought a shitload of defenders when we need somebody who can score. Davies & Taylor wont always score as many as last season, if he thinks they will he is deluded. I keep saying it, most couldn't give a shite if we won every cup in the universe every season, their lives are so pathetic and downtrodden that the only opportunity they get to let off steam is at the football because they can't whine at their supervisor or wife. Just give us something worth watching I think the opposite of you Spider, I think those who are happy to accept the turgid dross we pay a lot of money to watch are the ones who probably accept shit in other areas of their lives because they haven't got the balls to stand up and say they aren't happy with their meal/job/wife/life. That's why things don't get better in our country - because we don't say "hang on, this is shit"
