Personally I'd be much happier if we got a decent attacking/creative midfielder. In my opinion, that has been much of the problem as to why Elmander hasn't been scoring (Hull/Sunderland this season aside). We also did already "take a risk" as you put it by shelling out ?8m for Elmander. I reckon there is some money in the pot, but whether we can attract the players or there's enough, the next 4 days or so will tell.
