Megson On Lee Chung Yong

Megson:

?He?s a really brainy player,? the manager said. ?He looks like he?s 14 and has got a lot of stature to gain but he?s come on in leaps and bounds in the last four or five weeks and his performance against West Ham was top class.

?That will establish him with the other pros. They have seen him in training and seen flashes of what he can do but against West Ham he changed the game.

?I think their full-back, Herita Ilunga, is a decent player. But he couldn?t get anywhere near.?

Lee:

?I thought our opponents were quite tired when I came on and that?s why the manager asked the other players to pass to me,? he said.

?I felt confident whenever I received the ball and I wanted to put in every effort to show my ability to the supporters. I really tried to work much harder than ever.?

With the sixe of the bloke, he can only really be used as an "impact sub" - I very much doubt he would last a full 90 minutes at present, as he would be hoofed from piollar to post if he started a full game

the lads got potential.

dont think he should start against birmingham maybe come on if the game is a bit stale

You have to catch him first.

He'll be a good player for us yhih last.

Agree.

Far better coming on for the last third when defenders are tired rather than starting a game.

I think at the moment Lee Chung Yong will only be used as an impact sub he certainly changed the game against West Ham. I think this will not be the only match he changes because he has the flair pace and trickery that we have needed in the midfield department for quite some time now.

Someone should write a song about him.

There's one already, by the Goons?

BD, is your aviator related to Gubbins?

No, I don't know Gubbins

I have never seen Gary Megson and the chap in my aviator in the same place at the same time; are they, in any way, related?
