7 points out of a possible 9.

2 wins away from home.

Progression to last 16 of the Carling Cup.

Gary Megson must be in with a shout.

Well done to the gaffer :drinks:

Correct, wasn't it last season when he won MOTM and we didn't win in like 11 games after?

...thought he only won it once last season!

yeah something like that.

it happens with a lot of managers

Does it really though? - quite often the MOM is won by the manager of one of the top 4 sides, who very rarely lose. Is it not just one of those "urban myths" that there is a curse of sorts?

Not his greatest fan but credit when its due

Well done and keep listening to the fans - dont go back to the negative 4-5-1

I would love it if he was successful - dont mind the humble pie

I think what he s trying to say is playing with a more attacking starting eleven . Playing with 2 strikers on the field for a start, more options for the lads to hit rather than just skd . Plus more pace in the side to get up and support them too. And i do think he listens its wether he does anything about it , Which he has to be fair . :good:

So fair do s

Laughable.

If he"d listened to these people Riga would be starting every game .

It is not the 4-5-1 that is an issue it is the team selection within that system, I did not boo against Stoke but it has had the desired effect, starting with Klasnic against west ham and Brum and throwing on attcking options in Lee when it was badly needed, I think fan power has had an effect on his thinking and for the bettter.

i think the players weren't ready

gardner pretty much always plays when fit.

davis was injured or he would have played.

cohen has impressed so was always gonna start.

klasnic was brought in as competition for elmander so was given chance.

fans 'opinion' was totally irrellevent imho.

i still believe the only thing that really changed was that we played better (still not brilliant mind)

Fans opinion does count a little bit imo. Against Stoke the natives were very restless in the first half due to the all out defence team he started with, he brought on Gardner and Klasnic at half time and we played a lot better and the fans were happier. Megson has never ever made a sub at half time since hes been manager of us until then. He has kept the pretty much same team in the two following games and we won them both and the fans are satisfied because we are at least having a go at the opposition instead of letting them dictate the game.

Im not saying he made the changes just because the fans were pissed off but he will of certainly thought they cant fucking moan now because they wanted us to attack and thats what we are going to do.

Sadly, there will be fans who think they have actually influenced what Megson has done. Whilst fans like to think they "help make decisions" Megson is not the sort of manager to be swayed by anything anybody says or does, he's his own stubborn man. (which I'm not saying is a good thing or a bad thing)

I certainly dont remember any tactical changes at half time under his management. :pardon:

Indeed Meite at OT comes to mind for one.
