Great Goals You Missed.

Featured Replies

I always roo the match at O/T, when just working round the corner at British Arkady and missing Frankies winner, for the sake of getting a last bus.

Both Bolton goals at Bayern

Was still on my way up the stairs for the first, and asleep for the second

Beckham's last minute free kick against Greece. I was sut next to Smiffs. He left at half time and I stuck out till about 75 minutes. The people next to us were a bloke in a Burberry shirt, Stone Island jumper, big Rockports and to cap off the ensemble a 'Svengland' viking hat with bells on it, and his bird, with whom he shared popcorn for the whole match. I suspect we might both have at least managed till 80 minutes ish if it weren't for those two.

3rd of May 2000 (I just checked) and we set ourselves up for getting into the playoffs by stuffing the Old Gold Cunts midweek thanks to a late(ish) Eidur goal.

Not long before said goal I'd nipped down for a piss, and as the noise from the crowd swelled on my way back up the ESL stairs two things happened.

(i) Eidur scored and I strained the last couple of steps in order to at least catch his celebration.

(ii) My left calf goes "pop" and I'm fucked.

Stupidly I don't get StJohns mob to put ice on it or owt, and so by the whistle I'm in agony - and parked up on th'A6! Fortunately I cadge a lift off someone to my car and then I have to decide - do I go and kip at me Mam's in Daisy Hill or chance the whole drive back to th'East Midlands? My logic says that as its me clutch foot and it's M6 and A50 all the way I'll be reet. Imagine my horror when I join the M6 only to find it's at crawling pace due to an accident; and of course I'm surrounded by Wolves cars :pardon:

Had to get some petrol at Uttoxeter - and when I got out of me car the left leg had seized into a 90 degree bend and so I had to hobble to the till like a fucked up pirate...poor lass serving didn't know to make of it :pardon:

Ricketts equalizer against Leicester at home, just so i could get a lift instead of the bus

i missed all 4 goals at leeds a few years back.

no 1..at bar

no 2..in bog

no 3..pen couldn't watch

no 4 ..as leeds kept equalising i left the ground

Not a goal, but I went for a piss to avoid watching the penalty being taken against us for Reading at Wembley. I couldn't bear to see the last nail being hammered into our coffin and the bogs were full of likeminded bravehearts.

Some folk when thay have missed a goal having a piss, come back smiling with a 'that trick worked' look on their face. Did it fook, you simply missed a goal.

You were sat in front of me that match! Remember it clear as day!

I took my lad to the Reading-Bolton game at Wembley, he was sobbing his eyes out when they got the pen, but soon cheered up in the rest of the game.

Luckily, I've never missed a goal at a game I've attended, but when my dad started taking me to Burnden, he'd miss fooking loads.

One time - I think it was against Stoke - he went for a piss and decided he might as well start queuing for a pie. We scored 3 goal within about 10 minutes. He was proper pissed off, especially when he came back and asked me "Who scored?" and I said "Bolton".

villa 2 bolton 2 , bowt 4 years ago , got in ground after 12 minutes had already missed all the goals and then had to sit thru a very boring 0-0 .

Borgetti's goal in Besiktas. It was hazy.

Hazy?

You were asleep, man.

but I sleep with my eyes open normally!

great first half, thought we played very well!

we were in white, weren't we?

With Crampo here. All 4 at Villa due to our driver hitting the toll road while having a drag on a joint.

Gardeners at the Alianz. Was trying to get a drink at the bar. Didn't realise you had to buy tokens to get served and when we heard a cheer we ran upstairs to celebrate................in the middle of the Munich end.

Note this has swiftly moved on from great goals to any goals...

I missed our 3rd at Watford many years ago due to needing a slash - wasn't too bothered as it meant we were 3up, happy days etc. Certainly it paled as a disappointment compared to the eventual 4-3 reverse.

Remember us being 0-0 at half time against Bradford at Burnden - our kid, worse for wear from previous night decided to sack it off and head home.

On my return home at 4.55pm I took huge fckin' delight in relaying the fact we had won 5-0!
