Free Entrance To Bolton Home Games For The Armed Forces!

Following on from an initiative from Burnden Aces (with much kind help from Wanderers Ways) the club has today made an official announcement that 100 free places will be available for Armed Forces personnel to attend all the remaining Premier League games this season, starting with the Hull match on the 29th December.

I would just like to thank the club (and Mr Gartside if he reads this), for the clubs generosity in honouring the bravery of our lads and lasses who risk everything for our safety.

Excellent move from the club.

Wonder if the Daily Mail will deem this newsworthy.

Not if the marvellous PR department doesn't tell them they won't!

well done bolton wanderers.

Well done BWFC

This is a quality thing and i believe every club in the premiership is doing it so well done to the FA as well.

Fantastic, our lads deserve everything :good:

ps: But id rather be in Afghanistan than made to sit in O.T !!!

Great to see. Are we second after Ibrox or have others done it before us (besides RFC)?

Was it last Boxing Day or the one before we played at Anfailed? Any way I took dowter and her fianc? as he pretends to be a Liverpool fan, he is going to Afghan in February (Marine Commando) and I said I'd take him to the Reebok against Liverpool when he gets back, obviously next season, and his ticket would be free, the cheeky scouse loving cnut said, "you would actually have to pay me as well as a free ticket to go to the Reebok", he's fuckin washing up after tea today.

Thick cnut, it were New Years day :pardon:

Birmingham did it for our match against them earlier in the season - hence the idea to ask the club if we would be doing something similar.

The thread below shows how it developed, Traf's vital input - leading to an email from Mr Gartside himself pledging his personal support.

A big well done to Mr Gartside and the club for delivering even more than we asked - giving 100 free places for every Premier game to the end of the season!

you're just being a prick now, that's actually quite offensive

After being a member of this forum for the past 18months or so I think the sense of humour used on here is rubbing off on me :)
