Managed to get some useful information off him about the bin collection for tomorrow. Dont leave the bin out, just take all your bin liners tied up on the street.

If they don't come and sort out our bins this week I'll be doing some sort of a dirty protest at Bolton Town Hall.

coupled with the fact most of the experienced Bin waggon drivers are off driving the gritters leaving mainly the stand in drivers on the bins, i wouldn't want to send the waggons through some of the estates in bolton.

I don't live on an "estate" , it's a cul de sac, that we've actually cleared quite well ourselves. & no rubbish has been picked up from this postal code since well before Christmas. It's not acceptable, in fact it's disgusting. I'll tell you what else isn't acceptable, that people are expected to take their rubbish to pick up points. They're relying on us doing it because the know we are sick to the back teeth of seeing countless bin bags in our back gardens. The grit wagon came down to fill up the bin, so please advise how they thought it safe.

One of them big pick up ones. One like they could use to come and pick the bags of rubbish up with. The bin wagons, I've given up on that idea, but to not pick up all the bags, nar, it's not civilised.

TBF, recycling van in the same size wagon managed it no problem two weeks ago.

No doubt there will be an increase in next years Council tax to cover final salary pensions & above inflation rises increased costs.

It's our bin day tomorrow & the road is now clear. Let's see if they bother or if they think we're gullible enough to do our own refuse collection!

I've been there 6 years and it's always ben well below inflation.

 

And last times council tax in bolton didn't rise, the suppliment for Micky's snooker table did though.

That same Fire Service who never once, during the snowy period, said to any 'customer', "Sorry, it snowed, we can't come out!"

 

We don't pick and choose which jobs to go to. If someone wants us, we'll go. If we can't get to the property, we'll get out and run!

 

The bin men, on the other hand, go or don't go. They're not arsed. They won't be giving us a Council Tax rebate for the missed collections though. 6 up to now if you include the ones missed due to the re-organised rounds!
