Smallest Away Support We've Ever Seen

Who's the smallest away support you've ever seen? Burnden included...

And whats the smallest support you've ever seen us take to a match?

Seeing as i only went to the one burnden park game, i'll use that... i saw no Charlton fans for the last match at Burnden... and as for our following i'll say Fulham, carling cup a few year back...100 if that there..

Didn't we play Wolves once when their fans were banned from travelling and all their away games made all ticket. Or summat :pardon:

Wimbledon LC 2nd leg in October 1992 at Selhurst had me and 1,986 others there in total.

i saw nb and little whitt at old trafford

Tiny support?

Either Bari or Breschia cant remember which now in the Anglo italian cup at Burnden .I cant remember seeing any away support .That was my first game and if i remember didnt Hagi of Romania play and score against us ?

5 of us went to that game and yes it was a small following after I think we lost the first leg at home 5-2. I think we won the 2nd leg 1-0 with Tony Philliskirk getting the goal.

Another small following was away at Southend in the 2nd leg of the league cup....again after we lost the first leg at home.

No more than 250 - A really poor turnout for such an important game , but it was the first leg and from memory it was a thursday night .

Bad times...

changing the subject a bit... largest away support seen/taken... obviously since we've been at the reebok plenty of teams have brought 5,000... wouldn't know about Burnden before the 90's... largest away support ive seen us take barr rovers games would probably be Liverpool in cup, went with me folk, can remember much.. think we took 9,000...

The first leg had a very small Southend contingent as I recall - they went home happy though, bastards

Largest I saw at Burnden was the Red Filth in April 1980 - must have been 15k of the cunts

Largest taken - bar Wembley/Cardiff - easy, the Blackburn promotion game in 1978.

he did, think the score was 3-3, collina was the ref if i remember correctly, and aiden davidson had a shocker again.

I think after the Blackburn 1978 game the next largest following would be the FA Cup game at Old Trafford in about 1991....10,000 plus

Think we had about 15,000 at Everton in 76/77 which caused complaints because it was fewer than they had at Burnden - as they had the entire Embankment .

Replay against Newcastle in the FA Cup at Leeds may have been biggest of the lot if you reckon in the thousands locked outside .

Blackburn was the biggest of the lot for me, and as for that Huddersfield FA Cup game - never seen Ribble and Hargreaves run so many coaches from Moor Lane bus station .

All great memories and occasions, I seem to remember that we took 12,000 to Everton and they had 18,000 at Burnden, can anyone remember if these figures are correct.

Regards the huddersfield game I went with a coach company from LH who also picked up in Farnworth we were held up for 10 minutes as the coaches from bolton travelled along St Peters way I think I counted over 100 coaches, for the old LH lads the old coach companies who often travelled from LH were coach inn and Klearway travel.

You took 10,000 to Goodison in the 1994 Cup win too.

newcastle at home in the 70's in the FA Cup when supermac scored those couple of blinders, they were given and completely filled the embankment, must have been 15,000 of them.

For the older lads on here,i never went to blackpool away in the 70's,what were our followings like in those days,i imagine we took thousands

Yes ,thousands - we used to have half of the Kop ,with a line of police down the middle, but at half time , both sets of fans went round the back & "mixed ".

seem to remember playing norwich in our last season in the old first division,79/80 on a very wet and cold tuesday night, beat them 1-0,may have been neil whatmore who scored, they only had 10 on the small section on the embankment, worst away support ive ever seen in the top flight
