I listened to a few bits of it this morning, and some valid points were made. Our support is pretty poor............but does it really matter? - do you get extra points for big crowds? - when you do, then I'll start to worry

I heard a bit, take it all with a pinch of salt really. Unfortunately people believe a lot of the bullshit that's spoke by joe public thickos.

 

People don't like us and would love us to go down, we wouldn't be missed by anyone if we did go down. This is exactly the reason why our own fans have to remain with us, it's difficult enough when twisted perceptions portray us in a negative light, last thing we need is our own fans having a dig as well.

I've thought about that in the past, and mentioned it to firends of mine who support Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham. All of them had the same response, which was pretty much "You're not hated, if truth be told we couldn't give a toss about you, so don't have an opinion either way"

 

I think that "neutral fans" may not like us as we are, in the main, pretty poor to watch, and generally when we have a home match on TV, it's a drab affair in a half empty ground.

 

I think if you speak to most fans, they tend to think their own club is hated/disliked and the "establishment" and "powers that be" have it in for them, so we're not on our own

I agree with CWP on this. Most Premier opponents are not bothered about Bolton one way or the other. I would feel much the same if the likes of Fulham went down, I just dont care either way. If there are people bothered enough to say they hate Bolton and want us to go down then brilliant, lets hope Bolton make them eat their words!!
