Portsmouth don't qualify to play in Europa League next season because they have gone into administration. A pity because I was hoping that they would edge Liverpool out of qualifying.

I was under the impression that a club in administration could not apply for the licence plus i would think said licence cost's cash, cash that the club doesn't have.

It would be ridiculous if they are allowed into European competition in a season when they have entered administration. Platini is always papping on about how clubs should be "solvent" if they are competing in Europe. I certainly hope that Portsmouth aren't allowed into Europe
