how did it go Mick ?

A dream day, Hull was hammered with fanny, i got a bloody nose when Barrow made it 1-1,poor crowd with England playing down the road but the game ended 2-2. The train journey was epic, never seen so many Yorkshire pissheads.

A date for your diaries, on Saturday 4th July Atherton Collieries will play Bolton Wanderers, Neil Lennon has said he will bring a good squad down

  • I'm very fair and even handed on this one. I hate both sets of cunts.

.......but before the Colliers visit Chorley's Victory Park on Tuesday, the Magpies have a massive game this Saturday against Matlock Town in the FA Trophy. The winners will progress to the First Round proper and could secure a tie with a Conference 'giant' such as Grimsby Town, Stockport County or Macclesfield Town.

With no Premier or Championship games due to international friendlies, a bumper crowd is expected. Despite beating Matlock 3-1 last week, they will not be push-overs, so expect a feisty, lively contest and enjoy a nippy November Saturday afternoon on the terraces - remember those, some people might call it REAL football. Happy days!

Lots of special activities for kids - penalty shoot-out, FREE hot-dog for first 150 kids, even Pudsey Bear will be putting in an appearance! And for mums and dads - first 150 pints of Carlsberg sold in the social club, only £1.50 each!!

I hope you do well on Saturday, we [Athy Colls] are away at Chadderton, hope it's a good night on Tuesday, see you there

Colls won 2-1 at Chadderton despite having a player sent off, I believe Chorley won as well, this should set Tuesday night up nicely as both sets of players and supporters are on a 'high'. IMO

I imagine chorley will have a few fringe players out, but hopefully a good game. They were outplayed for most of yesterday by a decent Matlock team, but couple of late goals got the win. Just hoping for a decent draw in the next round now

Expect quite a few of Chorley's first team regulars to be rested on Tuesday as we did last week at Kendal in the Doodson Cup game, however we still managed a 3-1 win. Quite a few niggly injuries in the Chorley camp so difficult to predict the starting eleven.

Last time we played a team from Atherton, we lost to LR in the cup, so we won't be approaching this game lightly.

Social club will be open and serving a wide selection of beers. Pies chips, burgers, etc all available from the snack bar - you can have your tea at Chorley FC! We look forward to meeting the supporters of Atherton Collieries.

Hi mate, up to now there are about 30 of us coming over, we are meeting in our sponsors pub at 5.00pm, we have a couple of mini buses ready, we are all looking forward to this night out regardless of the score, it's nice to be able to relax before a game, our priority is to gain promotion but we will give you a game on Tuesday, our lads are really 'up for it'' [so they should be], as are we [fans]. I'm looking forward to it as it will give me the chance to catch up with a few old friends from BWFC and off here

Great marketing slogan, but I'll give the coronary a miss, all the same. :D

Sounds like it should be a good 'un tonight, albeit cold as fuck I should imagine. Get the Bovril ready.

Colls were robbed tonight. Good game though.

You are right Matt, how the fuck did the ref not see that hand ball in the last minute, the linesman [on the left as you looked at the field] also had an absolute nightmare, I did tell him so, but a good night out and Colls weren't disgraced, all of our players can say they played a part,

And that's not even mentioning the dodgy free kick for Chorley's first goal, the nailed on foul on the goalkeeper for their second and what I thought was a penalty when Gaz Peet was sandwiched in the box in the second half!

Athy Colls are now top of the league after a good win at Eccleshall on Saturday, tonight we play Daisy Hill[billies] at home, if anyone fancies a trip the KO is 7.45, hot food, good beer and good company is always guaranteed at Alder House

Will be there (if it's on).

A good 5-0 win against Hillbilly's tonight.

Were you there Mick? It was a poor first 25minutes with a stupid missed penalty, Colls then got their act together and it was very comfortable after we went 2-0 up, that's us 5 points clear at the top now

One of the worst penalties I've ever seen. Was surprised he took it to be honest as he looked like he was struggling for movement even at the start of the game so no surprise to see him subbed. No idea why the defender didn't get sent off for the handball anyway considering there was no doubt whatsoever the shot was going in. Some cracking goals scored though and some good football played, hope Colls can keep it up, definitely seems a buzz about the place.

He took a penalty on Saturday, the same way, fortunately it went in, he's not a bad centre half as it happens, happy days at the moment

Yeah you're right, I think I'm up to 7/8 Colls games this season and he's impressed me each time. Not bad on the ball for a centre half as well, just tell him to twat it the next time he takes a penalty
