September 3, 201312 yr Gutted tonight, Colls lost 2-1, I think Radcliffe were the slightly better side, but, a blatant stone wall penalty turned down and their equaliser was a blatant hand ball seen by everyone on the ground except the referee who was absolutely piss poor, talking of piss poor, the programme on offer at £1.50 did not even mention Athy Colls as the opposition, poor do Radcliffe, far too money orientated

I reckon there struggling as they've only had 3 subs all season. Named two subs last night, but the number 14 started the game so it looked like there was only one sub in the end. The lad in goal actually made a couple of cracking saves, but he wasn't tested anywhere near enough off crosses etc. In fact the Colls keeper looked far more shaky on corners and set pieces than Radcliffe's. Good game but I reckon Colls had two definite penalties turned down and were unlucky to hit the bar twice. Biggest Colls away support I've ever seen and all.

Radcliffe proper keeper was suspended after being sent off earlier in the season, I'm not sure if he took a swing at a match official, you're right our keeper did look the more shaky of the two, back to the league and promotion hopefully

September 6, 201312 yr Non-League Day.........this Saturday, 7th September Established three years ago, Non-League Day has now grown to become an annual part of the football calendar, and for the first time Chorley FC have a home fixture as they host Stafford Rangers at The Chorley Group Victory Park Stadium. Always scheduled to coincide with an international break, Non-League Day gives fans of football league clubs the chance to see what's going on at a club that is on their doorstep which they may be unfamiliar with or not even know exists! By spreading the word and promoting Non-League Day, members of Chorley FC are hoping that supporters of Bolton Wanderers will turn up at Victory Park on Saturday, 7th September and experience the passion and enthusiasm of both players and volunteers involve in the non-league game. As an additional incentive, Chorley FC will be admitting Wanderers season ticket holders for only £5.00 on the production of a current season ticket at the turnstile. As Chorley FC celebrates its 130th year, it is the traditional values and sense of belonging that makes non-league football so appealing to supporters. Admission prices are realistic, you can often stand anywhere in the ground and you are guaranteed a warm welcome from fellow supporters and the willing volunteers who run the club. The Victory Park social club provides a wide range of beers in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, and Sky Sports provides further entertainment before and after the game. September 7, 201312 yr Author A good sesh in Harrys Bar in Wiggin before the game, so full of loonies, daft wimmin and laughs I was tempted to miss the game, caught bus straight to the ground and got in just before Kick off, never got charged a penny to go in. They only have one stand, but you are sat in the shade, and what with a gale force wind blast blowing through. That stand should have been built facing the sun on the opposite of the ground. Still a good day out and looking forward to when we play the real pie eyters next door.
September 7, 201312 yr Went to Salford City v Padiham today for non league day. I know lads who go to non league regularly don't appreciate it and think of it as a "pat the small team on the head day", but I go to Bolton home and away so wont apologise for not having much time for anyone else. But, I had an absolutely great day, Salford won 2-1 with the usual non league fayre; a club house full of cheap ale and pies, rough and ready football and linesmen that you can mouth off to that argue back with you! Top day on the Holt's beer and Crystal lager - hope to do it again soon
September 7, 201312 yr I sort of didn't embrace the spirit and went to Rochdale v Bury instead. Cracking game and atmosphere (and pie). Will be at Colls v Oldham Boro on Monday though.
September 8, 201312 yr About 100 Wanderers season ticket holders helped to swell the Victory Park attendance to a fantastic 896!! Chorley played some fantastic flowing football and were worthy 3-0 winners. New signing James Dean looked very impressive up front. Great friendly atmosphere and lots of friendly banter between supporters. Next up at Victory Park is Chorley V King's LynnTown, Saturday, 21st September. Wanderers are playing at Brighton that day so come along and find out what non-league football is all about! It will be nice to see you, Matt and a few of the former Leigh RMI supporters.
