I wouldn't if I knew we had a man extra for half an hour and if Coyle didn't start his best team available and if I knew Coyle would get tactics/subs all wrong.

 

We was inches away from losing that, close offside goal.

 

Does that from Coyle suggest he's happy with a point has it gets us closer to 40[a win away] does it suggest we don't want Europe via the league?

Why did lee not play? Not had a rest in about 2 years

why did gretar not play? Been injured and has problems off the field

why did Davies not play? He played up front..

Why play a left footer at rightback? As best option we had, would you rather Alonso played on the right...

Why play Alonso? As robbo had to cover right back

Why Elmander on the right? He did a good job there today

Why play Muamba against newcastle? To offer the back 4 some support

We've taken a point from a place where we've only won once in the 33 years I've been watching us...we're 7th in the Premier League (with the 6 teams above us all having spent about ten times what we have)...oh and we're one game away from the FA Cup semi-finals for only the second time in 53 years...what more do you want for christ's sake?!

I wouldn't be too surprised about Lee not being included. The lad must be fuckin' knackered. Other options should probably have been explored though. Like others say, a point away would have been welcome before the game. I thought we'd lose. We definately looked like that after the first half hour anyway. Should've done more, but it's not the end of the world. Kevin Davies is a definate sour point for me though, he really shouldn't be in the starting eleven at the moment.

Overall it was a piss poor performance. I see your point but we really should have done better and turn it into that 2nd win in 33 years.

 

I hope Arsenal ruin Birmingham tomorrow. They could well be in the relegation mixer come the time we head to Saint Andrew's.

Oh here we go, members criticising other members opinions just because they're different from their own.

 

A point at Newcastle is alright, a point against a 10 man Newcastle for half an hour, in my eyes is disappointing, especially when the players didn't go for it, and they was not helped by Coyle.

 

I know we beat Blackburn with 10 men and came back from 2-0 down against Birmingham with 10 men, their fans were angry and gutted they couldn't beat 10 men, th forums showed this, it's not easy to beat 10 men, instead of say 4-4-2 it becomes 4-4-1, still players to get past and just because you have a man extra doesn't guarantee more space or all 3 points.

 

I wouldn't have minded if we went all out for the win and if Coyle actually went for the 3 points but playing our better players, in their better positions.

No one could stop Enrique, he was gliding past our right side all day. When he bombed forward I reckon we would have had more chance of creating summat with Lee, saying that Elmander did well out there today IMO.
