Last year it was 5pm on the Saturday and 4pm on the Sunday, will it be the same this year?

It does matter NB I am doing the Marathon on Sunday morning and if kick off is too early I will miss the game.

 

Sound get round Marathon is 2.5 hours so should be OK, but you never know.

I see that City were scheduled for a game on the Sunday - not sure if they would have a UEFA game on the Thu should they overcome the Kiev deficit.... in which case they'd get the Sunday game. IMO I think the police would prefer the Manc derby on the Sunday.

The first headache is scheduling the event at Wembley which is unlikely to be decided before Manchester City face Dynamo Kiev on Thursday night. Should City go through ? and they trail 2-0 from the first leg in Ukraine ? they would be on course to play in the Europa League on the Thursday before semi-final weekend, which would force the game to Sunday 17 April, the day of the London Marathon. If City are eliminated, the match is likely to be played on the Saturday, with Bolton facing Stoke the following afternoon.

 

 

I think the powers that be think having the Manc derby on the same day as the marathon, and the Arsenal v Liverpool game is too highly loaded.

what a load of balls, they should just make the easy decision and push city v united to sunday on the assumption they will get through in europe then clubs can get on and organise.

London marathon is on the Sunday as well so police numbers will be short on that day.

Im told BWFC want the sunday as there is rugby at the reebok on saturday april 16th.

Shouldn't make any difference to the football. The coaches will leave approx 7am and be back when the rugby has finished and the car parking will be spread out.
