That Alonso will be starting against both WHU and Fulham to protect Robbo from being booked and thus missing the semi.

  • Can't afford to lose Robbo for Wembley.   It's players like him you need when playing team like Stoke.

You're only so relaxed about it because you're still waiting for this to come true.

When is Fulham Micky, midweek before the semi?

Why not just get booked at brum so he misses the next game then he would be back to 0 cards

Not a clue. I'm only passing on what i've heard.

Currently I think the most important game is the semi; balls to all that tosh about the only game that matters is the next game.

When is Fulham Micky, midweek before the semi?

10 days AFTER the semi.

I'm guessing Mickey means Brum & WHU. Either that or his ITK source is GazMT

I've not looked at a fixture list. I'm at a rounders tournament and therefore on my phone not my pc.

I'll let my source know if got it wrong.

how many matches are they banned for when they get to so many bookings?

thought robinson was only on 8

If he gets to ten before April 10th it's a two match ban.

Given that he's only had eight cautions, the obvious thing would be to play him against Birmingham and see how it goes.

If he keeps his nose clean he's home and hosed for the rest of the season.

or maybe, Coyle is a decnt man, and not a cheat!

thought robinson was only on 8

The BEN are saying 9,

"Robinson picked up his ninth yellow card of the season in the 1-0 defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford after he was cautioned for dissent.

The 32-year-old, incorrectly, felt Dimitar Berbatov?s late winner was offside and angrily remonstrated with the linesman, forcing referee Andre Marriner to book him"

So will be 10 and a 2 match ban if picks one up in next 2 games.

because he might then accidently get sent off

if he gets booked in the first minute, he'd render himself pretty useless for the next 89 if he doesn't want to risk getting booked

He's only been sent off once in three seasons, and that was by career incompetent Rob Styles at Old Trafford. Even then it was subsequently rescinded.

I think I'd risk him against Birmingham and leave him out against West Ham if needs be.

Stoke will probably play with two quick, decent wingers in Etherington and Pennant so think back to the Villa game when quick, decent wingers repeatedly made a mug out of Robinson. Him missing the semi isn't a game changer.

Alonso will be a key player next season, technically a cut above and he can run all day

Obviously I meant Xavi

Bring back Ricardo.............. :D

Just to be clear here, if Robbo is booked against Brum or against West Ham he'll miss the semi final as its a 2 game ban for 10 yellows and he is on 9.

So we either play him in both or leave him out of both. Not much sense playing him in one and not t'other!
