Longsight golf course isn't open anymore.

If you will drive to Frodsham you get a 4 ball with buggies and grub for ?99

Think it is. The driving range has shut but I'm fairly sure the golf course isn't.

Could be wrong, I haven't been down that way for a while but I think I'd have heard something.

Cheers nb local being from Bolton is this the one

Played Duxbury for the first time today, wish Id played before. Brilliant course.

Bit of advice - book online, will save about a tenner. I phoned up the other day and booked a tee time and paid this afternoon, ?17. When I got home I looked on their website and for the same tee time tomorrow it would of cost me ?8. <_<

Edit - Yeah it's the one near Freddies.

Walton Hall in Warrington is not bad.

That's the fella.

:good:

As DC said, it's a cracking course & if you're inclined after the bacon butties at 19 are apprently excellent (it's a nice little restaurant too.)

Played at Leigh last week. It's not a muni but they welcome visitors. The last time we played we used a 2 for 1 voucher, they've stopped doing that but charged ?20 instead of ?36.

Also try Dunscar a cracking course, similar price/deal to Leigh.

Played Bolton muni today - ?13. Was a bit rough around the edges and the greens were bobbins.

Advice #2 - use the course map on the back of the card, quite a few hidden hazards.

Plenty of dog-leg's and 7 holes (I think) have water in play.

Crazy Golf at Southport, i played my seven year old partner all over the park last Sunday. and got an hole in one on the 17.

9 holes? That's pitch & putt.

No, they let you go round twice and lend you a set of left handed clubs for the second nine. (Or right handed if you did the first nine with left handed)

That'd be a leveller on a golf course wouldn't it?

Theres Haigh Hall too, haven't played there for quite some time though.

since last week?

I know it hasn't shut long, It is all boarded up. I know the driving range has been shut for a good while because of 'health and safety' as someone set a fire under one of the support beams.

it all looked neat and tidy last weekend

i'll have a mooch

For the amount of work you have done today you could have gone for a game today

Douglas Valley on the A6 near Blackrod.

Then a bit further up is Valinet(sp) which is all par 3s + 1 par 4 so good for beginners & youngsters.

Played there today, bit of a swine. Never, ever play there after it's been raining though.
