.......Commiserations all Bolton fans, probably the first time in my life I felt empathy with the opposition, took a few moments out to think how we would feel if it were the other way around after the fourth goal! there are plenty of other teams I would have loved to do that to before Bolton that's for sure. In my view we are not that different status wise so don't buy into this media guff about our one dimensional style..........then again you will have seen that yesterday, just had it on good authority Man City are gutted to be facing us, they have one win to show of our last six meetings :dribble:

I think it's only the media that labels teams like you (and us) one dimensional. We suffered that a few years ago under Sam Allardyce and then Megson. (The bit in the middle of the two (Sammy Lee) was Zero Dimensional!) Anyway, who gives a flying fuck what the press say about us? It's just a pisser that your average know-nothing bloke on the street believes what it says in the red top papers. More fool them.

Good luck in the final.

The media spout bollocks, the pompous pricks. Most of 'em watch hardly any of our games, and plenty more will be offering opinions this week without watching that game. Stoke are a strong team, you gave us an hiding at Britannia and we were fortunate to take 3 earlier in the season. I think you caught out a very bad, disastrous performance from a Wanderer's team yesterday, and capitalised to the full. Congratulations for that. Unfortunately for us, that result has left us in abject misery. Hopefully the White's will finish the season with a bit of a flurry and bring back a bit of gloss to the season, because afterall, 8th in the league and a cup semi aint all that bad.

Good luck in the final, havn't decided who I want to win yet. (If there is no chance of us making Europe, then it is Stoke!)

The only time I have felt sorry for the opposition was when we beat Newport 6-0 in the late 1980s.They were on their way out of the league and came to Bolton with a team of kids and overweight pub players.

I can understand why you felt sorry for Bolton fans having to watch that disgusting performance on such a big occasion.

Thanks MickyD......

Actually, I was fully expecting my dead mother to tap me on the shoulder after the fifth goal and say "your dinners ready Paul" ......then I would have realised it had all been a dream!

for those of you who want to know the real reason we won here it is....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4sWi2efw6E

Cheers for that Ragman!

We met a few good Stoke fans before the game and shared beers, butties and photos etc, they were good folk, all just as apprehensive as us!

We were in the multi storey near the Bolton end, (if anyone of those people are reading this, hello again and well done! ...There, that didn't hurt, did it?)

We were dreadful and Stoke were very good, I left after the fifth goal, (I NEVER leave early) but I felt so helpless and couldn't cope.

I also wanted to beat the traffic and avoid anyone from Stoke, from gloaters to commiseraters, I would have been unable to force the necessary smile, that they both deserved. :-)

I've been a Wanderer for many years, seen us in all four divisions and watched us in Europe. This is bad time but it's been worse, will I be there on Sunday against Arsenal?....Damn right!! Us Bowtoners are made of stern stuff.

See you next season

I have no gripe with Stoke or their fans and am not bothered who wins between them and City, I won't watch it. The fans I met on Sunday didn't give it Billy Big Bollocks before the game or gloat after it. The bad behaviour I saw (Note. just what I saw) was from Bolton "fans".

ps Delilah is a slag
