Not sure about taking him AND Boyata though as has been reported. That would leave us with 4 CB's all good enough to start in the 1st team. Surely City have a few full backs they want to get rid of instead?

I've a feeling it's the left side he can play - which means if Alonso doesn't come back then we've got both Ricketts and Onouha who can can both operate at CB AND at either FB. That I'd agree with, but I can't see him starting next season with a totally new CB pairing. Maybe he's looking at a long term replacement for Zat?. Didn't realise Nedum could play left back. If he can, I'm in and we'll have em both!

I think Wheater & Onuhua/Boyatta could be a fairly solid pairing. Zat Knight is just good enough as cover for a club like us imo and thats probably about it.
