Revolting Sarnies

I came back from the gym last night, and Mrs CWP was tucking into an egg mayonnaise and salted peanut sandwich - I've never heard of such a thing before. I'm all for fusion foods, but that's taking the piss.

I also used to work with a bloke who every day, without fail, would bring his cheese and jam sanwiches into work, again something that does sound a bit alien to me.

Any other sandwich combo's you lot like?

By the way, I'm just about to go and make a corned beef, onion and beetroot sandwich for my lunch :D

I don't understand this Tuna Melt nonsense, Tuna and cheese is just wrong.

Jam and banana butties

Banana on toast

peanuts??? ... on a sandwich (regardless of what else is on there) is just lunacy!!

Beetroot just makes everything it comes into contact with look like roadkill - therefore I'm oot!

A little dollop of jam on a piece of cheese (when eating with crackers) is acceptable - gives it a fruity little tang - but not on a sarnie. :nea:

Best sandwich in the world is cheese and ham (with lettuce, onion and mayo if available) on white bread - FACT

... something that I can;t be doing with is when people are eating their sandwich and open their packet of crisps and start eating them before they've finished their sandwich. That's just wrong. The crisps should be the next course. Also annoys me when people open up the bag completely, thus turning it into a small foil tray of crisps.

My dear old grandmother once packed me off to school with salsa and hot pepperami sandwiches

ive never told her how bad they were :nea:

Corned beef and brown sauce butties rule, ok.

I like that combination. Throw in some sweetcorn too and get it on a panini. In fact, that's lunch sorted, ta.

I do that, doesn't everyone?

Banana on toast

Breakfast of champions is that

Washed down with a glass of milk - great start to the day

That is annoying, but not quite as annoying as people who can't eat chocolate bars properly. There is this girl at work who when she eats a KitKat or Twix will eat it in the strangest manner, by nibbling the chocolate off the outside first and the eat the individual layers one at a time. Just eat it proplerly you nobber!

Also, people who dunk biscuits, I don't get that either, it's just vulgar

Crisps always go on my butties, if you had no intention of putting them on your butties then why the fuck have you bothered to bring crisps with you.

Chicken and Cheese is always a winner for me.

No - that's why they come in a bag that opens at the top. Grrr.

But they have the sealed bit at the back which opens easily.

If you fully open the pack though, does this not invite/encourage other folk to come and help themselves to your savoury snack of choice?

I've heard it all now.

I bet you'll happily alternate between sandwich and crisps too won't you?? :nea:

I remember at school you had to master the art of stopping your mates from nicking your crips by ensuring you had a hand in the bag at all times.

One of my mates though had eczema. No-one ever wanted any of his. Jammy bastard.

I'm surprised Barry hasn't been on yet. He caught me shoving peanuts into a butty at his daughter's Christening not long ago and came on here mentioning it. Here

Can't remember the original filling but it lacked a bit of texture. You can say what you want about your dry roasteds but lacking texture isn't one of the things you could say.

When I was younger, I'm sure the scrote that used to live next door to us would sometimes eat sugar sandwiches.....now that can't be right in any way, shape or form
