Revolting Sarnies

I came back from the gym last night, and Mrs CWP was tucking into an egg mayonnaise and salted peanut sandwich - I've never heard of such a thing before. I'm all for fusion foods, but that's taking the piss.

I also used to work with a bloke who every day, without fail, would bring his cheese and jam sanwiches into work, again something that does sound a bit alien to me.

Any other sandwich combo's you lot like?

By the way, I'm just about to go and make a corned beef, onion and beetroot sandwich for my lunch :D

If you think that made you get twitchy gonads, take a look at this.

Read about that in FHM years ago. Sounds a tad painful to say the least. How can there be a God when creatures are allowed to evolve to do things like that?! :nea:

Brain-Eating Killer Amoeba

amoeba.jpg

Back in grade school we all thought amoeba were the innocent fat blobs sharing space with paramecium and hydras under the microscope. No longer. 6 Americans have died this year, all young men, from a strain of amoeba that attaches itself to the inside of your nose and quickly burrows through your brain. Scientists are considering this death toll a spike; since only 23 people in the US were killed between 1995 and 2004. ?This is a heat-loving amoeba. As water temperatures go up, it does better,? specialist Michael Beach said. ?In future decades, as temperatures rise, we?d expect to see more cases.? Great. Keep plugging your nose when going underwater. So far, Florida, Arizona, and Texas have had the most cases

Breightmet childhood memories are always so heartwarming.

I've eaten sugar butties as a kid. And porridge butties too. Never Ketchup, though that's f*cking sick!

Nowadays my tastes are more refined.

Fishfinger sandwich with peanut butter, mayonnaise and salad cream is the cordon bleu of lunches. :dribble:

Do places still sell lemon curd? Also, what about paste? Used to have that on my butties as a kid all the time. No posh actual meat or cheese for me.

You mustn't be looking in the right places. Lemon Curd (Lemon Cheese they used to call it) is great on toast.

What sort of savage puts picallilly on a butty?

When I was younger, I'm sure the scrote that used to live next door to us would sometimes eat sugar sandwiches.....now that can't be right in any way, shape or form

Banana and cheese is a particular favourite of mine, I grew up on them but also have had a sugar sandwich... golden syrup too

I knew no better, my dear old mother used to give them to me as a kid.

The only one I've stuck with was banana and cheese, it is really nice (if you're feeling adventurous you can put apple on it too
