As some of you may have noticed, I love to share my misery on this board, so here is my latest offering :

- Got back from Greece late last night after attending nephew's wedding (great do).

- interview today in Geneva, so had to get 6.15 flight from Manchester to Paris and then Geneva.

- Slept in and ended up belting round the M60 at >100, sprint to check in and just make flight.

- got to Paris and found that Geneva flight was delayed by 3hrs

- Geneva flight then cancelled and ended up having a 2 hour interview on my phone in the airport terminal

- went to board flight back to Manchester only to be told I had been listed as a no show and was not allowed on plane.

- queued for 21/2 hours to be told that the next flight is tomorrow morning and there were no hotels available

 

So, what do I do now:

- have a few beers in the terminal and try to get some kip?

- try to get into central Paris and find some amusement there?

- can't think of any other options

 

PS apparently UK border control are on strike tomorrow and I might not get let into Manchester!

However, if I was sleeping on an airport floor with some Morrocan swirling his swirling whirly floor cleaner about wearing manky Jesus Nikes epxsing manky cracked infested feet then after about 3 hours I'd gladly pay more just to fuck off out of the way.

I've slept at CDG airport, and unsurprisingly it wasn't much fun. Although given ze time I'd probably recommend it rather than Paris.

Airports are souless shite places to get your head down, not to bad at Manc a few weeks ago with the Spar being open for cheap cans waiting for a 6-00 flight for six hours, but the Budapest one was a killer with an 11 hour delay after the Plovdiv game.
