Spineless Team / No Captain ?

Do we actually have a spinless team that just isn't up for battles anymore?

I don't see anyone in the side as a true leader, one that will roll up their sleeves and start to boss the team and if nothing else give others either encouragement or a kick up the arse. The old age argument that they are all professionals doesn't wash with me, far too many players are passive and just coast through games that are not always going to plan. Controversial as this may appear I think Kevin Davies needs to be stripped of the armband but who the hell you would pass it too I've not a clue?!?

My honest opinion is that we needs someone like Kevin Nolan and yes many didn't like him but you could never doubt his commitment to the cause, something our current players are lacking big time. So who in the current squard is up for it and has the commitment, desire and holds enough respect to be captain?

I was over United on Saturday night, simply by denying it happened, going out, getting pissed and some pokey wets.

I'm still fucked off over the gutless performance in FA Cup Semi Final though.

we should of signed joey barton and made him captain

in one.

This weekends game with Norwich will paint us a clearer picture

now the dust has settled..i think OC`s claim that there was never 5 goals between the 2 teams was perhaps a little bit of denial but i know what he means.

the bottom line is that there were some blinding bits of skill from world class players that certainly led to goals 1,2 and 3.

4 and 5 were largely irrelevant.

some of our players were made to look distinctly average which im sure was a little bit embaressing. i didn`t think cahill covered himself in glory and for me i think leaving out muamba was a big mistake. surely the best chance against the urinals is to get your fittest, fastest grafters in the middle of the park.

petrov has his strengths but none of them are defensive and eagles/reo-coker wouldn`t strike fear into my gran.

we all knew we`d get a tonking but i was hoping we`d hold out a bit longer but jesus theres very few players on the planet who could do what they did to us.

if we dont turn norwich over then fair do`s but dont get too down about it lads! holden will be back soon enough which will be a big +

Ie.. A win and everyone saying how great OC, Davies and Jussi are and dusting off their passports

I really doubt that

Aye, only 6 weeks to Swansea.

I remember 1996 united beat us 6-0 at Burnden Park, pretty much the same response spineless performance never going to another game ect ect.

everybody I know still went to the next game, and renewed their season tickets.

We all new we had a tuff opening run of games, normal service will be restored when we beat Norwich on Saturday.

I don't think anyone had that reaction either in 1996 or 2011.
