If its the same as Ipad original click settings mobile date and off. A lot of companies use them mainly so you can send data back to the office from out in the field instead of storing it and downloading it the next day or handing in paper notes, not many use them as a tracking system because its quite hard to do with the Apple OS.

if all they are after is knowing where you are, they could do it cheaper with a vehicle tracker

Just got one myself. No reason for them to use it to track, too easy to disable.

 

You could always leave in the boot next time you leave the handbrake off

It is no different to using a laptop with a 3G dongle or any other tablet with a SIM for that matter. The tracking or tracing of mobile phones (in other words a SIM card) is not possible by anyone other than specific authorities (police for example and usually by request).

use the on/off button to turn it off.

I think I am right in saying that if they are going to use anything to track your movements then they have to inform you. If they do it on the quiet then try to use the information against you then they are fucked. Only saying this because a mate of mine had a tracker fitted to his company car and they informed him and had him sign something saying that he had been informed.

 

If they do then the IT guys will most probably set it up so you cannot turn the tracker off yourself.

Get a lead-lined case for the iPad.

 

They'll not track you then.

I think it's a question of legality rather than technology, it's your phone so you have a right to know where it is

I think you have to activate it before its lost/stolen which is basically you giving them permission to track you.
