It was a remarkable achievement to bring us from where he did to where he took us. It just wasn't quite on the shoestring that some folk make out. Hypothetically, if he were to come back I don't think for a second we'd struggle, but I also don't think we'd be looking at top 8 finishes either. Football has moved on a lot since those days. Other clubs are considerably richer and we're considerably poorer.
