New Manager

Sounds like Steve Bruce might be seeking employment soon.

Worth a punt?

really, really not.

really, really not.

what would you do Homer still sack coyle even if a good candidate wasn't available like Mark Hughes?

im still not sure we should be sacking anyone tbh.

whatever gartside and ED choose to do is fine by me.

only they will know (hopefully) if theres a better man out there and if we can temp him.

You have to stick with Coyle regardless of his mistakes.

I firmly believe that the lack of communication from the club to the fans causes all sorts of allegations relating to the managers credentials. I`m not too sure if Steinssen was fully fit. Ok, the manager then shouldn`t have him on the bench but should tell the fans why he makes decisions as such. More then would understand instead of jumping to wrong conclusions.

There is a similar situation surrounding Holden and his injury. The club has yet to tell us the full story relating to his set back.

Aidy Boothroyd, Roy Keane, Dave Jones, Peter Reid, Ian Dowie and all of that ilk etc etc .............. no thanks

Mark Hughes, Alan Curbishley maybe but not yet

If I had to choose anyone, Alan Curbishly would be my punt.

However i'm still firmly in the keep him for now camp.

At this time of the season, and the situation we're in I don't think there is a workable alternative. I say OC is still our best chance of getting out of the shit, but he still needs a good second in command.

I know this is an about turn fron what I posted on Saturday, but I've cooled down and sobered up.

Still say there are three teams worse than us and we won't go down.

Thing is Juan, we end up saying this every season and cannot keep relying on having three teams worse than we.

Holden had a screw inserted in his knee as part of original injury.

He had fully recovered from that injury but the screw worked loose and damagaed his cartliage or ligament, freak accident.

Sure it was reported as such by the club.

If you had said Ricketts or Davies (S) I could see your point.

It shows how bad things are when on the way home saturday we were saying that we could with ricketts back.

Did I mention the Mfucking62 was shut on the way home, oh and the muppets they have on the club car park were very close to getting a slap on saturday ?

With a fit team i agree theres probably 3 worse, the 11 as it stands i dont think there is personally.

well i think theyll be one muppet down today...when we were queueing to get onto the carpark, one retard hadnt pinned down the iron gate properly.

it went swinging at full pelt into the side of some chap shiny new car.

ouch.

Yep I had the pleasure of the M62 on the way home too. No satnav so it was old school with a road atlas through Ripponden and Brighouse.

Even without Lee and Holden we should still be good enough.

The touble is Coyle still doesn't know how best to set up the team.

It saddens me that I'm getting so angry at K.Davies' constant inclusion. Davies plays ok, we win, that means he plays for the next two games which we will lose. He'll then bring in Ngog, the team plays shit, we lose and Ngog is dropped again at the expense of Davies.

Davies' performance on Saturday was one of the worst I've seen from him. When he couldn't play a simple 5 yard pass ion the halfway line in the 2nd half which Everton then broke from and should've scored, was the final straw for me.

I think there's only Matthew Upson who Davies now has the upper hand on. Every other player he comes up against has him sussed.

I don't like being so negative about such a good servant to our club, but either Ngog or Tuncay need to be given a good run of games up front alongside Klasnic.

It were ok for me Junction 19 :yahoo:

62 was shut at J24, I think, due to expected wind.

Mard Yorkshire bastards.

They said there'd been a bad accident between 24 and 25 and it was closed between the 2 junctions, with it taking 45 mins to get from 22 to 24.

When I got back on at 25 there was a scary sign saying "Pedestrians in road".

Ah, OK.

But they had said on the radio on Friday evening that it was likely to close anyway.

My "mard Yorkshire bastards" comment still stands. :D

Spelling mistake. It was meant to say pelicans.

Stick with OC any day rather than Mrs Doubtfire FGS,Coyle makes mistakes but has had little money, Bruce has had millions to spend and Sunderland are still crap.

Well said Waffer.

The initial question was actual asked with tongue firmly in cheek.

I think Bruce's problem has always been that of a kid in a sweet shop. Has a good team then gets more money to improve it and only succeeds in destabilising it.

His 'crap' Sundrland team still beat us without breaking into a sweat though.

In my opinion Owen Coyle is definitely still the right man.

We are going through a change of styles, loss of key players to injury, no funds to replace and a terrible start to the season in terms of fixtures which knocked confidence.

The guy loves BWFC, was a popular ex-player, has done well elsewhere, treats the fans with nothing but respect, comes across well and has bags of potential. His football philosophy is also to play football on the ground which eventually he will be able to deliver in time.

If we back him through this difficult spell now, I am sure it will pay off in the long term.

What he needs from the fans is support, big time. In the face of the adversity, it is much better if we get behind him.

COYWM.

But we have been doing. Coyle has had loads of backing from the fans. This shit run has been on going since fucking April. If Meggo was in charge then by fcuk the Reebok really would be a horrible place to go.

Just so you know, I am still behind Coyle (for now), and you wont ever see or hear me booing the Wanderers. I do, however, feel that if we get beat by both Spurs and Villa, he has to go.
