Is it me or do those 2 clowns commentating sound like they're talking into empty tin cans?

Seville may well get put on in a minute.

In fact it might be Midsomer murders on plus 1 if it doesn't improve

& I want to shove a stilleto into Gerrard's face & twist it round.

:D ...ive not hit the sauce yet!

I confuse myself at times,

I hate Scousers with a passion... cunts the lot of them. I don't like Dalglish as a man or a manager. I have heard stories about him being an ignorant horrible fucker as a person, including telling a 7 year old child to "fuck off" on a plane when he was asked for an autograph (this is hearsay, but it came from a decent guy that I know) He is also a cunt for blindly defending everything his players ever do. I absolutely idolised him as a player though, he was brilliant. I don't like their murderous racist, chip on their shoulder fans either. I like the style of play the used to have and are vastly preferable to Man Utd, Man City or Chelsea for me.

I don't mind Liverpool as a team though, I think it goes back as far as Bill Shankly, who I had a great admiration for.

I don't understand it myself so don't really expect anyone else to.

You've peaked too soon, lad.

Just seen glen johnsons tackle, no free kick

Identical to kompanys

Consistency is all we ask for.

The Carling Cup or whatever it's called. Is it still a Football League competition and not run by the FA, like the cup and the league but with Lee Mason, a Premier League ref? From the camera angle it's a clear red in today's climate. Doubt the ref saw it. No idea who's job it is to charge the player.

It was a dangerous tackle, the fact he made no contact doesn't make it any less dangerous. It is as much a sending off as most of that type of tackle in todays climate.

I don't think it's right, but that seems to be the way the game has gone recently

aye

endangering the safety of an opponent

ie just cos the opponent jumps out of the way, it doesn't mean its not a foul

some of thiose slide tackles davies used to do where he'd slide 6 feet would be absolute no nos now, cos he's just guessing where the opoponents leg will be when he arrives

for me they are not identical

the ball is pretty much at nani's feet and in possession when kompany jumps in

whereas the ball is "open" when Johnson jumps in

still dangerous, but those are the differences

if both players who are dispossed had either foot planted in the ground, your looking at broken legs. you cant leave the ground to jump into tackles.

Shame we're playing ManYoo this weekend and not Citeh. They were awful & pedestrian last night.

Mind you, I doubt we'd work as hard as Liverpool.

i think johnsons is worse.

he is going through the ball with both feet,

kompany is on his way down, the other foot is just floating in the air with no real purpose.

also kompany is barely moving, where as johnson is running before he makes the tackle.

yep

agree

but they're not identical - guessing the fact johnson wasn't going into the player is why the ref, who's got a split second to decide, chose not to punish, whereas may have seen the other one as diving in on the player

but if the rule is that two feet ain't allowed, they both should go

am sure it evens itself out, get away with some, not others
