Didledee Posted April 8, 2012 Author Posted April 8, 2012 Maybe its just me but I don't get the wankathon over Wellbeck, just cannot see how he is first choice. Â Think his performances have dropped recently, but he's looked good for most of this season imo, though I rate Chicarito more. Quote
Drew Peacock Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 At least if Tom Daley is injured for the Olympics, we have a ready made replacement in Ashley Young. Quote
DazBob Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 (edited) though I rate Chicarito more. Â Not for me, if I'm up at Middlebrook I'd rather go to Burger King. Edited April 8, 2012 by DazBobParr Quote

no balls Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 The FA have rejected QPRs appeal. Â I don't understand that one at all. Quote
Guest Frandsen08 Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 (edited) The FA have rejected QPRs appeal. Â I don't understand that one at all. Â last man, and there is contact , minimal and it is a dive but by the letter of the law and all that Edited April 10, 2012 by Frandsen08 Quote
DazBob Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Whilst I don't agree with it in terms of common sense and it being the 'right thing to do' I can see exactly why they've thrown it out. Â Â They'll say there WAS contact ... even though we could all see how minimal it was. Â Â ... and they're not going to reverse it on the grounds that it should have been offside. By doing that it would open up a huge potential can of potential worms. You'd have clubs appealing all sorts on the grounds that the officials got something wrong just prior, meaning that the incident would not have happened had they in fact got it right initially. Quote
enzo gambaro Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Suppose they have to look at the incident in isolation, since offside decisions aren't open to review. Â If they'd decided it couldn't have been a clear goalscoring opportunity because it was offside they'd have opened a massive can of worms. Quote
Didledee Posted April 10, 2012 Author Posted April 10, 2012 (edited) So the F.A think that's still a red card after reviewing it? what about Essien on Ben Haim? Gallas on M.Davies? they're red cards, not Derry's, yes their was clear contact, but if that's a foul, never mind a red card, then players will be shit scared of even brushing aside a player on accident in the box for example when it's crowded. Â You can't recind a penalty, but don't penalize a player for something that wasn't a foul or a red, it was a dive, are they saying Young didn't dive? that's the only opposite to yes he did, if they think he didn't then they obviously haven't a clue, if anything Young should have been reviewed for cheating. Guest Frandsen08 Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 i know what your saying dids, but you cant review a player for going down easily. Quote
