Play Off Final

Who will be playing in the BPL next season? I think Wet Spam will do it but would prefer Blackpoo.

isnt it the chairman who has final say?

Not really, the owner has the final say. The chairman just works for him. He doesn't need to know the first thing about football, just business.

nowt to do with payment in my eyes, its a case of looking at how managers in the championship, leagues one and two operate, their scouting and coaching teams, their approach, tactical ability, motivational skills and finally their success. alternatively you could look at players coming to the end of their careers who have been doing their coaching badges and look to have some of those skills and attributes. Tis said the Nevilles have strong personalities and though i have loved to hate them over the years, they both look destined to end up as managers. There are others too.

You dont have to shop in the top drawer every time.

I think gary neville will be a top manager in the future

we by taking a young manager has got us relegated im afraid

Not quite. up to last years semi he was still highly rated and was tipped for Arse, Villa, Celtic and even Everton.

Our problem was not that he was young, it was that we stuck with him when the writing was on the wall.

well i know that, but i promised no more negativity until the new season, whats done is done so hopefully the club will see sense and rebuild, not arsed about the 15 that left as they obviously are not good enough, i will say we need a fuckin hard man in midfield and i would still take joey barton

Even though he'll be banned for half the season. Brilliant!

Owen Coyle will have been managing for 10 years come next January, hardly learning the job by now me thinks. BSA nearly got Bolton into the playoff final in his first season after having to sell most of the seasons previous team. A certain man in black put a stop to that. As for Tranmere it was the semi no one was interested in, as the home crowd for the semi would testify.

So it was all down to injuries with owen? Whats to say he won't have more next year? probably will, its who he brings in to cover thats important. The likes of Robbie Blake and some others that have been bench warming this season would suggest his signings are questionable at best.

But hey ho enough of negativity onwards and upwards!

West Hams wage bill will be bigger than ours and so they should get promoted, Allardyce has shown nothing new using same tactics and even some of the players he used 10 years ago, yet we have fans lauding him for getting West Ham promoted, after watching them today I make them hot favourites to go down there crap, If we had out best 11 out we would destroy them.

By best 11 do you include folk who haven't played since either a crippling tackle or a crippling cardiac arrest?

Yes I included Muamba and Holden.

Them yes, we'd murder them.

the tangerine face paint and traffic cone hats can all go back in the fancy dress box today....

the liverpool and DMB tops can all go back on,and normall service shall resume.

thankyou west ham, even though i hate you cockney fuck pigs, you have mad my life a whole lot easier.

big thanks to the blackpool fans that arrived back on our pub car park at 1am this morning shouting 'murderers' at my window.

Make or break for Big Sam next year. There's no goodwill from the fans there, who live in some deluded footballing academy paradise.

If he doesn't sign some headline players and make an impact pre-Christmas, he's out. Unfortunately, he's been signing players from ex clubs for the last 5 years and those wells are looking a bit dry right now. Be interesting to see if he can actually find new talent these days. I don't think he can.

I like holloway! Graceful in defeat!! Well said sir

Aye me anarl, he's a "character"

Wish we had him <_<

Is that because they know your Bolton or do they think your a scouser?

the first one! ....

Both teams were up for this, we had to win one game against a team that were already on the beach and we couldn't raise ourselve for our own cup final. That's what pisses me off most.

Very little team spirit under Coyle from my viewpoint, not enough characters. They all seem to be unsure of themselves at the top level, looking around at each other for confidence. Unfortunately there was only Davo left and his form and enthusiasm dipped this season. We had no Campo, Speed, Nolan, Whitlow, and dare I say it Diouff types who relished a scrap.

Therefore I doubt our present lot would have beaten either of those sides yesterday.

A tad harsh we would have stayed up barring a shocking referee decision.

which decision? The foul on Bogdan or the QPR goal at our place?

Now the dust has settled I have taken a slightly different view and actually feel a little sorry for the players, reason being it must have been really difficult to keep going, knowing that tactically and selection wise Coyle was making a balls up of most of the major decisions, many times the team could have hung on for a point or even 3 many times Coyle did not spot the danger and make the necessary change, many fans saw this and I'm sure most of the players felt the same, the team kept coming back and took it right to the wire. I think I give them credit for bouncing back despite Coyles dreadful management and I'm going to give them my support in our effort to regain our place in the premier league.
