June 6, 201214 yr If you can't be bothered with the flannel of the article, essentially they will start playing in red in future, despite playing in blue for their entire history. Can you imagine if that had been imposed on us? Playing in red? Indeed...
June 6, 201214 yr Interesting. When I read these proposals about a month ago the reports said that the idea of a red kit (apparently red is lucky in Malaysia) had been kicked into touch because of fans' opposition.
June 6, 201214 yr The deal is reportedly worth ?15m to Cardiff. There must become a point (??s) when we would agree to play in a different* colour. *Not red
June 6, 201214 yr The deal is reportedly worth ?15m to Cardiff. There must become a point (??s) when we would agree to play in a different* colour. All of football is for sale, it's a business, so there is a point somewhere that makes owners of clubs say/think "fuck tradition, we can get loads of cash here" - Man Utd would switch to playing in sky blue if they were offered enough money
June 6, 201214 yr This is one for Malcolm W but plenty of clubs have changed their colours over the years. Leeds only changed to white in the 60's and Watford took on that garish yellow & red nonsense around the same time.
June 6, 201214 yr I heard a report on one of the radio stations a few weeks ago, that the Malaysians had let it be known how "disappointed" and "hurt" they were by the fans rejection of the idea, to the point they were thinking of pulling out all together. Seems to Taffs had a re think.
June 6, 201214 yr Blue is a bad colour is the Far East it is associated with death etc, Red is a lucky colour associated with luck and prosperity, A lot of the Far East fans will not support a team in Blue, this is being done to try and get more fans over there
June 6, 201214 yr i watched a utd/liverpool game in a square in bangkok a few years, there was approx 100,000 screaming thais watching it on a huge screen. every single one had their respective teams' colours on,quite a spectacle to be honest
June 6, 201214 yr one of them married my mate from barbados who's a billionaire she's now a tycoon............................
June 6, 201214 yr Apparently, they need to be a bigger and more attractive club in the far east ,so as well as changing kit colour , they will also be replacing their badge .... With a swansea one. I bet the jacks are loving this
June 6, 201214 yr If these far east supporters are so supersticious to actually think that blue is evil, then what kind of supporters will they be in the long run? I'd doubt their loyalty. Don't forget in the far east elephant tusks are used for 'medicinal' purposes. Edited June 6, 201214 yr by land_and_sea
