Bolton league side v Lancashire County League side at Bradshaw today

When did Tonge CC become utter shite. For years and years they were always there, or there abouts. For the last couple of seasons they have been scrapping about at the arse.

When the money dried up.

Few clubs currently following Tonges example by paying their shamatuers and investing very little time/money in the juniors and facilities.

Forgot to say, the people at Tonge are doing a fine job in turning things round. One of their players was mopping up at 6am on Saturday to get a game on which they eventually lost.

tonge have been a shambles for a few years,

but this season seem to have a bit of spirit about them and trying to turn the club round, heard about the 6am and they deserve alot of credit as clubs with better facilites were called off

Rowlt mud Fester!

Watched them get mullerd by Kearsley ( i think) in last years Hamer Cup. The team was made up of a couple of young uns and a fair few asians. I was shocked on how bad they were that day. When I win the Euro lottery I'll give them a few quid just as long as I can come in at No5 and keep wicket.

Not been the same since Frank Baldwin died - he was a top fella!

Hence the money dried up.

My ex father-in-law was manager of Tonge a few years back when they won the Lancs knockout

I know......

Oh right, do I know you then?

This weather needs to buck up, could do with another weekend of lazing around in the sun drinking cider and ...er watching the cricket.

It really does need to buck up. I've been to all of 2 matches this season. So much for me making an effort.

I'll be supping for the next one, beware. :D

Are you coming in fancy dress again?

You can make more of an effort though, your lobster outfit was pretty lame, apart from the colouring.

Flaxon haired, blue eyed Anglo Saxons have no need of a sun tan.

They are the mark of the idle, poor and brain dead from southern Europe.

No, you don't actually know me but you know Crampo and you watched me perform a couple of times this season. Both times on AB. You were too busy cuddling Smiffs to notice what was happening on the field though. Oooo eeeeer.
