Haha.:)

That's amazing. The "Local Cricket" thread took until the top of page 2 to become the "Scantilly Clad Birds" thread.

dont know whats more cringeworthy, you dressed in whites or them 2 getting jiggy

Do I have to dig out that picture of you and Brixton in your black and orange kits?

Win for daisy 211 and walshaw 197/9

Lowly 17 for SJM

improvement on last week then mate :D . Onwards and upwards.

I'm seriously hoping we're batting first today so I can have a kip in the changing room.

DBP - unfit to bowl for the 2nd week in a row.

I will pop down as cover, jimmy anderson aint got shit on me

Managed to beat Brooksbottom despite them skittling us out for 87.

They were 41-4 at one point in reply and incredibly crumbled to 47 all out.

Top drawer stuff. Cricket for the purists.

My contribution - A kip in the changing rooms followed by 3 runs and nearly fainting after each one. Long stints fielding at 3rd man very much the order of the day. I'm a great example to the kids.

Deane & Derby next up on Saturday. DBP staying in on Friday night!

Is John Roberts still at Tonge? Used to enjoy playing there as a kid, all about aways days with the Whites these days :drinks:

2 games in one day? That can't be fair.

Why not....

Turn up with 13 players and it'll be easy to do - 11 fielding in game A, whilst 2 bat in game B.

As each batsman is out in game B, they just swap with a fielder in game A.

I only forsee a problem if they are made to bat or bowl first in both games.....and of course the slight time it might take to get from one ground to another......although most pitches have more than one wicket, so they could just play both games at the same ground on a different wicket. Just change the colour of the ball to prevent confusion in the field

Easy Peasy

Egerton have reached the final of the Hamer Cup, versus Greenmount a week on Sunday. Congratulations to them!

Where in the name of fuckery do they play, the car park of Derby Ward club?

It's an awful place to play, they were in the association as a junior team, as we're Bolton indians yet that was a good place to play

Tucked away just off Lever Edge Lane, near the top. You'd have no idea there was a cricket ground there unless you knew it was there. I use the term "ground" very loosely.

SJM's reet.

About 100 yds from where brixton used to live.

I noticed a couple of weeks ago the Bolton News had a rather large picture of a mate of mine, Steve Forster who bowls for Bradshaw. The article went on to say how he was hit for three consecutive sixes. Now, call me old fashioned, but if a batter got 3 consecutive sixes, it ought to have been the batter's picture, not the bowler.

I reckon someone must have said as such to the sports editor because the next week's cricketing write up pretty much sucked Steve forster off with its descriptive article about what a great bowler he was and how he's gone back to where he started as a kid.

Against the mighty Kearsley was them sixes. They were big uns aswel. John Roberts is still at Tonge. A great man, won a national award on sky sports a couple of years ago. Still umpires a bit of second team although he's losing the plot a bit these days.

When did Steve Dublin hit 48 or something ridiculous in one over, was DazBob hungover bowling?

I seem to recall DazBob getting Twatted all over the place by Gary Neville once as well (granted it was about 25 years ago) .............that must still rankle a tad

Ha Ha! That's got to hurt a little. :D

Nearly right. It was Phil Neville. 30 off one over when I was Eagley U13 and he was Greenmount U13. It's a very short leg-side boundary that U13s wicket at Eagley y'know. :D

His cunt of an older brother smashed a 50 against us when we both played U15s. I didn't bowl against him.

Rob Slater was the bowler.

9 ball over, 3 no balls, 8 sixes. Second ball dropped on boundary. Was scoring at the time so would of been 95 when I was 13.

And you still bowled down the legside.

I remember a 2nd team game at social circle a couple of years ago, one owd bloke smashed 4 sixes in one over onto piggot street, the bowler was a rotund bloke who apparently had red sticky hands - not sure if that is a technical term.
