I think it is justified, we've all seen how good he can be. Love it when he set's of with the ball and just takes out half the team, opposition shit scared

See for me its so obvious that we are best set up in a 451/4231 whatever you want to call it that Coyle must be aware of it. I know he is completely useless but anyone with eyes can see that setting up with Andrews and Spearing in the more conservative midfield role with discipline then means that M.Davies can be at his best in the gap between the opposition midfield and defence and linking up with our striker.

 

It also means that the 2 wingers, of which we have 3 that can cause a lot of problems in this league, can be brought more into the game and given licence to attack.

 

However I think the problem comes from Coyles stubbornness to play 2 strikers. Its almost like he feels that he has to play them because he has the option of 4 strikers. Club captain has to play (because he's club captain) but then Sordell has to also play because he's our young up and coming talent that we have paid a lot of money for, and then we've got N'Gog that we also paid quite a bit for and Afobe who has come here to get game time. Therefore he bottles playing the best way for the whole team just to be able to accommodate 2 strikers.

I agree with the above he should be playing just off the striker and in front of 2 midfield sitters.

Mavies just off the striker is a quality player, he would cause major problems for teams in this league if Coyle could do the right thing. Thats the only position where i think we should be playing him at all. In a midfield two is just not right for him.
