Has anyone been to this new-ish burger place in Northern Quarter yet?

 

Im going next week after a load of great reviews from some people who have visited. Theyre quite publicity shy and want word of mouth to do their advertising for them, I dont think it has any signs up outside or anything it just looks like a crack den up some old steps through an unmarked door.

 

The menu looks good, though I cant decide whether to have it with Suicide Sauce or Slut Sauce, both sound interesting!

Ive been told Solita is very good too, need to branch out when I go in NQ I always end up eating/drinking in the same places. Been going in Home Sweet Home a lot lately, malted milkshakes are a life changer!

Deep fried pickle spears, and pulled pork, in southern 11 are superb. Nice cocktails too.

 

And they give you a paintbrush and BBQ sauce with your ribs.

Hunger, strikes!

They make me feel quite ill.

Burgers are good but served in plastic tray basket things and the staff and clientele are all moody trendy types

 

It was originally a pop up about when the euros were on

Southern11 do fantastic ribs, been many times as it's close to my office

 

Had a pulled pork on hot dog from the food festival the other day which was that American street food type; it was belting

Well, I thought it was. Now you've got me thinking.

 

Thinking on now, does LW have to read the menu to his bird, or does she bring her son to read it for her or does he just get her what he thinks she'll like?

Almost famous was excellent when i went. Best to get there around 5 though, as after 6 you'll be queing round the block most days.

Went to Solita last night. Had the KFB burger, hand on heart the best one I've tasted in UK. The fries were nice and also had Inca veg which had a belting chargrilled taste.

 

Recommend it!

I only like gunge free burgers. Owt wi this myonaise shite or any sauce spoils a good burger.

It had bourbon BBQ sauce and melted cheddar. Not sloppy at all.

 

Incidentally, mayonaise mixed with Tabasco Chipotle sauce is the dogs bollocks.
